Shortest non-box VV mod with longest battery life? mah vs battery #? Highest mah VV PT?

I'm hoping to find a short stout tube mod for $50. As short as possible that will last a day of high volt chain vaping if needed. Shorter than an 18650 Vamo (135mm/ 5.3") or an 18650 Lavatube (5"/ 127mm). But I guess a lavatube at 5" is max limit.

I'm confused about 18650 batteries etc. I would think a 26500 lasts much longer than an 18650, but read the opposite. I hope there's a battery and mod that's stouter than an 18650 and lasts longer. my 1300mah ego doesn't last nearly enough.

I find different mahs for each types of battery. Someone suggested the Detonator Duel 14500 box mod, so I think 2X 14500 = 29000 = significantly more than an 18650, but I found a 600mah 14500 that's only 1200mah. I'll probably find another 14500 that's like 900mah. Do the numbers i.e 18650, 18350, 26500 mean nothing and all that matters is high mahs? And the specific types that should be used (high drain, IMR, etc) only come in lower mahs?

18650 seems close to an 18350 but Pbusardo's Vamo review says:
Single 18350 = aprox 6 hours vape time
Single 18650= aprox 18 hours
Two 18350s = aprox 16.5 hours

,which is a huge difference between 18350 and 18650. The ratio, 300# difference between 18350 and 18650 doesn't relate to the vape time

Sites list specs for a mod and say it's an 18650 or 18350 or whatever, and then says "Battery capacity: 2200mah" for an 18650. Does that mean that mod's capped at 2200mah or I can still put a 3000mah 18650 in it?

If there isn't a tube that meets what I'm looking for, then last resoprt is a VV box. i.e dual 18650s or single 18650 VV gripper, etc?

I'm considering this though: A very high mah universal pocket portable usb power box with a
mini USB VV PT Ego, and can plug into a wall or car adapter when near one. My only gripe is the current model $15 mini USB VV PT Ego has only 4 VV settings that jump quite a bit from eachother, so I can't fine tune volts but might get somethign like a 650mah VV PT eGo that can fine tune Volts.

Thanks in advance.
Side note, I don't think the Vamo is such a great deal, it is only because it's a demand-driven price, i.e, it's a programmed chip in a metal tube. I have $3 mp3 players form china which probably have more sophisticated circuit boards in them and then they cast a MOD tube and probably make a vamo for 3 US dollars.

18650 is the size of the battery in mm. The first two numbers are diameter and the next two numbers are length. An 18650 is 18mm diameter and 65mm long, 26500 is 26mm diameter and 50mm long, etc etc. LI-ion batteries have protection circuits which can add a little to the length sometimes, IMR batteries are more to spec length wise.

Providing they are the same chemistry(apples to apples) you can multiply those two numbers when comparing battery life, 18x65=1170, 26x50=1300, 18x35=630. So a 26500 should outlast an 18650 being 15mm shorter but fatter with the 18350 having the shortest life between charges. While a 26500 will give you the longest time with the shortest size length wise not that many mods use them and you won't find one at or even close to your $50 budget that I'm aware of.

MAH is what is used when comparing battery life but that can be misleading. IMR batteries will have a less MAH rating than LI-ion but IMR is recommended, especially in a one battery vw/vv configuration due to it having higher current draw capability. Also some batteries have an inflated MAH rating printed on them, Ultra and Trustfire as well as many generics are well known for this. My advice there is to stick with the respected brand names like AW, Panasonic, etc etc. They may not have the high eye catching numbers printed on them but they are much more realistic.

18650 is the most popular for a big battery mod and tube length can vary in size somewhat. The Provari is the shortest VV tube I'm aware of, using a 18650 it's 4.6" long, great PV but out of your budget. You can go shorter with a straight 18650 tube mod due to not using the vv circuitry and probably be able to stay in or close to budget but you'll loose voltage regulation-output voltage will fall as the battery drains.

If you're looking for long battery life forget 18350, even 18650 might not get you what your looking for with all day and chain vaping but it stands a much better chance. I'm a moderate vapor and get around 5ish hours in my Provari with a 18350. The appeal to me with 18350s is they keep the length down and they are so small it's easy to carry a couple of spares. If you're not willing to do that you won't get through a day with a single 18350 unless you're a light user.

What I'd personally recommend with your criteria, long battery life in the shortest config possible is the iTaste MVP and you should be able to stay close to budget since you won't have to buy a battery and charger.

Hope that helps
