i used to smoke cigarettes, half a pack a day for six month before I got into vaping.I would smoke one every hour during work. Now that I am into vaping,I smoke almost every 15min,even when I am going to sleep I would bring my vape and smoke them to sleep.I calculated that I am on around a pack of cig now in contrast to my vape.I don’t have any problem besides dry mouth and have been consistently drinking water every 15min as I vape.I read that vaping is a lot healthier then smoking cigarettes, now that I vape one pack of cigarettes a day which might not be a lot to people who smoke 1-2 pack a day...I am not yet worried, but just want to share

This is where the word “smoke” when it is applied to both cigarettes and vaping gets confusing. Are you still smoking cigarettes or just vaping?
Just vaping, don’t touch cigarettes anymore...even find that vaping is more enjoyable then cigarettes

Vaping isn’t exactly healthy, but it’s 95% less unhealthy than cigarettes. The conversion charts that equate vaping nicotine with number of cigarettes are somewhat suspect to begin with, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Smoking in bed can be very dangerous, but vaping in bed is pretty safe.

Smoking gives the user instant gratification. The quickest way to get anything into your bloodstream is through your lungs because they feed it straight to your heart.

With vapor it is different. Our lungs don’t process the nicotine nearly as fast. Our membranes in our sinus and mouth take on more absorption. You my be vaping more but not getting nearly as much nicotine as you think.

As has been said above, vaping is less efficient in absorbing nicotine than is smoking You have to vape more frequently to absorb the same amount of nicotine compared to smoking. I'd be very wary of any so-called vape vs smoking conversion scales, as there are so many factors to consider that the conversion tables don't take into account.

Should you be careful? You should be careful to turn your mod "off" before you nod off to sleep. You wouldn't want to inadvertantly press the fire button while you are asleep. You could burn up your coil.

You might be vaping more then you think because of nic levels? If your on a low nic, you might be chaining to get what you were use to. Or you just like it alot...

I do not personally worry much about my nic levels, how much I vape etc., because overall, well my health is much improved. I vape more some days, less others.

Dry mouth is a pretty common symptom, especially when just staring out. Have "drinking sessions" and by that I mean water, not other stuff.

I used to smoke 10 cigarettes a day on average, but since I got into vaping,I have been vaping constantly every 15min...It’s like I am on a pack of cigarettes a day instead of 10(I calculated).Should I worry for vaping so much?
I wouldn’t. What’s your nicotine level? I used to smoke a pack a day so chain vaping doesn’t worry me. I also am at 8mg of nic. I’m sure if I upped it I would crave less but would I vape less? At this point I enjoy it too much to cut down. If you want to vape less I would suggest increasing your nicotine

I think a lot of people find they do the same thing. Part I believe is the convenience factor, you can pick it up any time, its always ready to go. No lighting it up, needing an ash tray, mess afterwards. And the other being it tastes good.
I wouldn't worry too much, even though you feel your vaping more than you smoked it's still hugely less harmful than those 10 a day were. :)

this would be my question as well. using 0-3mg made me go back to smoking. 2nd try at vaping, went 12mg. couldnt vape as often. i vape less, and left me satisfied.

i still have a few packs of cigarettes left. they have been collecting dust thanks to what i believe is the high nic juice. and 60ml of my 12mg lasts me over a month.way cheaper than cigarettes.

The e-cig is close, but it aint a cigarette. So you puff on one, then puff again and your brain says "dude, where's the cigarette smoke?" so you puff again.

It'll settle down after a while as you go from one habit to the other.

I've spoken to numerous direct lung vapers who say the long inhale provides them the satisfaction a drag from a cigarette used to without needing to constantly puff on the e-cig.

Perhaps when you find yourself chain vaping take a direct lung 'hit' and see if that helps.
