I am back to vaping after quitting about a year ago. I started smoking again and over the past week have been using an ego twist with a mini nautilus. I find this setup less fussy than the eRoll I originally used a year ago. I'm also sad that I gave it away as it would've been useful.

Anyway, some advice would be much appreciated.

Is a used Provari 2.5 for $60 a good deal? I would still need to buy batteries and a charger. I think this would cost me in total about $100 once I add the batteries and charger. The provari was used for about a year.

Thanks everyone and this forum!

Welcome to ECF! I do not buy used goods when it comes to vaping. It's a hit or miss if the thing works like new or if it works for a little while and dies. Just my opinion.

I'd usually agree to a point, but it's a Provari. So even if it's completely messed up inside, you can contact Provape and for very reasonable rates, they will make it like new again.

Post-warranty service, from the Provape website:

Standard Service Repair Costs

Replace Window and screws- $10.00
Replace Circuit Board - $65.00
Upgrade to V2 - $20.00
Replace plastic pushbutton - $5.00
Repairs to the circuit board - $25.00
Cleaning - $20.00
Replace top cap - $15.00
Broken Cartomizer Service - $10.00
Return shipping within the USA - $5.00
Return shipping International ~$46.00

Terms and Conditions

Typical turnaround for service is 1 week.

So $60 for a 2.5 Provari is indeed a steal.

$60.00 for a Provari 2.5 is a steal, even if it's a beater. I would suggest you get the batteries and charger at RTD Vapor to make sure you get quality stuff. They are a real AW battery dealer and I would suggest an Xtar WPII 2 or MC2 for about twenty bucks on the charger.

ETA: Didn't catch until after I posted your location. RTD Vapor no longer ships international. Be careful buying AW batteries - there are a lot of fakes out there. No eBay, no Amazon.

Welcome to the forum. If it's still forsale jump on it as it's a great deal to say the least. You wanted to know if the battery would last all day. If it comes with the 18650 extension cap the battery should last all day. Make sure you do purchase AW IMR batteries from a authorized dealer or you might be getting fakes. 18500 are around $11.00 and the 18650's are about $13.00.

At that price I would definitely buy it. Even if you cant afford the batteries right away. If its a mini that takes 18350 batteries I would always have 2 or 3. If its at least 18490, definitely still 2. If its comes w the 18650 extension I would still always have 2 batteries on me. I had a provari 2.5 for a while. It is built like a tank. Great device.

Thanks for the quick replies. I was planning to spend no more than $50 and I've already spent $50 on a nautilus mini and an ego twist but the battery doesn't last me even a day!

I hope the battery lasts at least a day with the provari.

Run time is going to be directly influenced by what model you are getting and if it comes with the battery extension cap. You could be using anything from an 18350 to an 18500 to an 18650. An 18650 setup will get most people through an entire day. To the other extreme an 18350 setup - maybe about 4 hours.

I know this isn't your first go, but if you haven't found the Canada forum on ECF you may want to drop in there and ask where people are buying their batteries and chargers. => Canada Forum

Welcome to the forum! Glad you decided to get back to vaping, I know how it feels like (used to have a break on vaping for about a year).

60$ for a provari is definately a steal. It will last you a couple years (maybe not just a couple, for example my VAMO died after 3 years of everyday experience, ant not completely died, the chip still works but sometimes the device turns off for no reasons, while Provari can last you for like 5-10 years).
