Should I change flavor concentration?

Sorry posted to the wrong sub-board...

Hello All,

I've been making my own juices for the last year and a half. This month I switched from low wattage devices to high wattage (25w+) mods and builds. What I'm noticing is that the flavor of the same juice gets muted at the higher power. Here's the question should I be looking to UP the percentage of flavoring or LOWER it? I've remember reading somewhere that it is possible to overload a juice with flavoring to the point that it mutes... So what say you?

Show us a sample recipe including the manufacturers to get an easier understanding. Also, just try it both ways to see. But I would still like to see where one recipe is first with your total percentages and the individual ones.

Okay that isn't readable...

10ml nic base
8ml pg
7.5 ml vg
4.5 ml peach-blk tea flavor

nic base is 36mg in 100%pg
peach is peach is FlavorWest brand
Final output is 30ml of 12mg juice

Wow. 100% PG? Hmmm...

You can definitely go up in percentage with FW (though it may not be necessary), but I now wonder what type of delivery device you are using. Not the mod, but the atty, clearo, dripper, etc.

Considering you are using a single flavoring as a standalone, just make one with a little less and one with more. It would be more challenging if you had a complex recipe.

Forgive my oversight. I am often reading at a glance with a toddler in my lap and I miss words right in front of my face. It may be time for me to take a break again from the forum.

As to the experiment and not wasting juice, if you make it too strong you can add more solvent to get it right, and if it's too weak you can obviously add more flavor -- nothing should be wasted.

you actually want to use less... the more power you are using the more you are vaporizing your juice. too much flavor leads to flavor loss. when I switched from cartos to clearos, I had to drop my flavor usage. when I switched to rebuildables I had to almost cut my flavor in half due to how efficient they are in juice delivery over past systems.

20% is quite a lot for sub ohm builds.......most of my juices uses 5-10% depending on manufacturer

Peach / Black Tea E-Liquid . . . . . . . 30 ml . . . . . . 75% PG / 25% VG - 12mg Nic

10.0 ml . . . . 33.3 % . . . . . Unflavored PG Nicotine Base - 36mg . . . . PG
. 8.0 ml . . . . 26.7 % . . . . . Unflavored PG Base . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .PG
. 7.5 ml . . . . 25.0 % . . . . . Unflavored Vegetable Glycerin . . . . . . . , VG
. 4.5 ml . . . . 15.0 % . . . . . Peach / Black Tea Flavorings . . . . . . . . n PG

I organized your recipe for you ..... You might be better off using a 50% PG / 50% VG mix instead of your 75% PG / 25% VG mix your using now ...... Just my opinion

Your flavoring at 15% seems pretty good .... maybe decrease the flavoring to 12% and see how you like that.

Why do you feel the need to vape at 25 watts? Were you getting the flavor you wanted at lower wattages? I only ask because I personally like 7-12watts depending on the juice to maximize the flavor and find that going over 15 tends to mute the flavors I had at the lower wattage. Even at 11w on a Lemo Drop running 1.2-1.5ohm coils I get damn full vapes of tasty juice. If you were happy with the taste before stick with that maybe just up the watts a little and see how the tastes change for you. You can get the best of both the rebuild coils world and the variable wattage without having to go to much higher wattages IMO or lower resistance coils, plus both of those means MO Juice being sucked up. Unless you are a Jr. cloud junkie of course lol.
