Big time Chalice and ERA/Hornet fan here. But now I have the R2.0 and for me at least, its pretty hard to beat. So here's my dilema. Do I sell two ERA's, a Hornet and a Chalice. I've already swapped them out for the R2.0 and don't miss them at all. My immediate thought was I could offload the other atties and set myself up with another VVG and go totally R2.0's across the board. I figure I could easily break even. But theres this nagging fear in the back of my mind that I'll somehow miss the Chalice. After all, there were months of anticipation and such a scream of eureka when it finally came out and was all that I could have hoped for. Then again, another VVG could go a do a lot to ease my pain.

So, if you were me, what would YOU do?

Big time dilemma for ya. Never had nor tried a chalice, but couple scenarios come to mind. #1. RM2 goes wildly popular which brings the price of a chalice down, diminishing resale value. #2. Like what you said in the OP. #3. You suddenly lose your mind and follow Jacks suggestion.

Whats the price difference for you selling and getting another chalice? If minimal, I would sell if I can stand the wait in line.

Joe, I hear ya man, these 2.0s vape as well as my chalices. Even simpler to build too as well as nice and sturdy. I also like that parts (like screws) are only a few days and a few bucks away. I just nabbed another cause I'm gonna use them for out and about / rough duty.

That said, i could live without ERA's / Hornets -even though i think their among the best rba's i have owned. But.... The chalice and 2.0 are exceptional RBAs. Me, i just sold a chalice. but i am also gonna keep two chalices, because it is in a world of its own - Unparalleled build quality and engineering. Perfect, consistent vape. Ease of setup. Looks.

I'm not a collector of anything (a hoarder maybe) but if I were, I could see these being a collectors piece. I say keep it man. You'll likely kick yourself in the ... one day if you sell it, because you may not get be able another.

The 2.0, yep, I'm keeping those too.
They may not be as exclusive, look as refined or built to the extreme level of quality as a chalice but they are the epitome of all the things that make rba's and vaping enjoyable - hit after hit, regardless of price point.

I hear ya, but the thought of recouping some of that hefty price tag is tempting.

I know. I too was tempted and gave in :). It sold very fast. I don't miss it only cause I have 2 more and extra screws for em! I cant see myself selling these beasts. Too hard to get. These two have the non threaded posts. The one I sold was one with the threaded posts.

I think the sellers regret would outweigh financial gain. :)

Tough call. I've heard the method to fight hoarding is that if you don't use something for six months, you should get rid of it.

Now, like dogs, six months is approximately six years when it comes to vaping supplies. I'd say if you don't use it in a month or two, sell it. I recently did this with a whole bunch of RBA's, and I don't miss them one bit.

This isn't foolproof, however. I gave the reouno to a neighbor before I realized it's historic-some might say on this board, religious-significance, and I had to pay dearly to get it back. Now, unless it's a first, or a prototype, I follow the rule.

By the way, I hopefully should get reonuno fixed and returned by Robert in time for the Ardmore meet. The big challenge is that it's so crude and rough by today's standards, Robert almost finds it embarrassing. My assertion is that it is like DaVinci's first sketch or Michelangelo's first sculpture; not as good as his later works, but collectible nonetheless.

decisions decisions:confused: I have 2 of the first ERA's and I'm considering selling them as well for a couple reasons 1 I'm loving the RM2 and I recently purchased another Hornet which fits my VVW much better, the other reason is the connector on the first ERA's is longer and its easy to over tighten it and crush the gasket and for almost 1/2 the price the RM2 hits just as good and fits and looks nice on my VVG :)

Thanks for the opinions. I've come to a decision. The ERAs and hornet are going to the classifieds. The V1 chalice is near and dear and I would imagine could be considered collectible. That ones gonna stay with me for now.

Reading between the lines of your highly ambiguous post should I take it to mean that you're NOT going to be giving me your ERA's and Hornets? Even with my overly generous offer to pay shipping?

Where the hell is the, 'I'm shocked beyond belief' smiley.

Joe, your RBA's went FAST on the classies. How many 2.0's did ya order?

Right?! I was surprised they went as fast as they did. I also sold some 'other' stuff, enough to fund 2 more rm2's and a vvg that's been in the classies for a while.

The family's growing quite nicely!

You snagged captlouisvilles VVG? Beast. It was there a lot longer than it should have been. Great price too.

Nice job man. Your family rocks.
