I would do this, but the problem is I only actually have two PV's on my wishlist right now. The Riva and the Boge Revolution. The rest is about 100 different flavors of juice :vapor:

My budget is pretty limited, so I haven't bothered getting myself excited about the more expensive things yet... but I'm sure the day will come.

Easy solution. Just get the the most expensive one on the list and skip all the ones you're going to keep buying until you talk yourself into the one you really want. Trust me. It'll be a lot cheaper. When I started I couldn't even imagine wanting a unit the size of a cucumber and now I'm waiting like a mental case for it to be shipped. And still....I haven't entered what some here refer to as "the Holy Grail" zone. Provari, Darwin, GG and the like. I look at the fact that they cost so many times more than Lavatubes etc.and talk myself out of it. And I know, in the end, I'm gonna get one, if not all of them anyways! Measure your obsession, and if it's severe, suck it up and buy the best one that you can afford that's on your wish list, cuz you're going to anyways sooner or later. But hey, that's just my opinion.

The most fun you can have at this stage for you is a couple ego style batteries and a few stardusts, and the juices you like. Thats's what I'm using at the moment and it's great. You won't be disappointed and you can get it done pretty cheap too!

BTW canvape has the Revolution for $38

I just today bought a couple of batteries and things from Spac, happy with this so far but will probably try out the stardusts soon.

I have literally spent over $2000 on vaping in almost a year, which is just over what I would have spent on analogs, but like someone said, I could turn around and sell my collection for close to what I have paid :D

I was about to act as though that was a lot of money until I added up how much I would have spent on stinkies.

Oh well - guess we'll just have to have fun buying new toys and trying out new flavours :D

The absolute worst drawback for me was not being able to get them all into my sig anymore :)

A year in and I do NOT want to discuss how much I have spent. Some handy tips though:

Organizers are your friend! Plastic ones for juice work best as they keep the smell in :)

Go for different types of mods, I suggest a cheaper version (like lavatube instead of provari or indulgence V3 or Rough stack over a Silver Bullet) until you know your "flavor". Mods fall into "classes" like direct 3.7v, VV's, bottom feeders, screwdrivers. For example, the Rough Stack, Indulgence V3 and Bolt (with extender) all vape about the same. They use a 3.7v 18650 battery direct wired so realistically it comes down to look, durability and button location.

Watch the PIF deals and steals thread - It really helps make a decision on what to buy next (btw - the Bolt is on sale for 25$!)

Know your limits! Its not worth the fees for overdraft, as it is less you can buy next month!

Always check the sale or clearance pages of your favorite vendors!

I hate Analogs. Go with a Provari, a bigdaddyvapor.com who's your daddy 3mL tank, and SS boges LR's or SR's, buy the punching tool from COV (clouds of vapor) it's 40.00, expensive, but I'd rather have a consistent easy carto punch without slamming hammers into the carto's every single time, tried it, but really annoying. With the COV punch tool it's consistent and I've had it for about 3-4 months Nd still works amazing! This is all you need. It's golden son!

Ordered the Provari two days ago. Trying to settle on a tank now. Really want a rebuildable. The Z-Atty Pro from Zenesis is supposedly gonna be available early May. Seems like forever from now!

HaHa i did the same thing in less then a week, about 500$. 1st order was the Ego c 650mah starter kit and a few T2 clearos just to try and see what i prefer. After the 1st day and the leaking of the attys i got fed up and stuck to the clearos deciding i wasted $$ on the kit, oh well ill save in the end.. About 4 days later and tons of info passed on by a vaping legend on ECF i found myself ordering 2 Ego C twists and T2's with some goodies. Passed the tiny 1st batch of batts down to the wife and shes now hooked on vaping haha. Then after about a week trying to convince my Mom to try vaping i ended up spending another 90$ on the same setup i gave the wife. Not to mention i have enough juice to last us all a few months. I smoke Du Ma's @ 10.25$ min a pack, I'm a pack a day smoker, wife smokes the same but a pack every 2 days, The way i see it is it pays for itself after the first 5 weeks give or take. But i have to convince myself I'm here for the health and saving cash part LoL. So thats why ima get into DIY :rickroll: I love it!!! When i first started it was to quit smoking, now that i have idk if ill ever quit vaping... The thing is most of us tried vaping to quit smoking and save money, Set yourself a budget by putting away the cost of each pack you smoked daily, total that all up at the end of the month and theres your budget, sooner or later you'll slow down on the spending and when you do it'll all balance out. Why not get into DIY, that way you'll be too busy to even look at new gear. Happy vaping bro

Well, I would say: If you can afford it, knock yourself out.

Smokes here are 10.5-11.5 a pack, and I was a PAD, so the first month (while expensive I suppose) I still saved money after a few missteps.

I'm starting to get a decent collection too, Bloog kit, 4 assorted ego batteries, revolution 2.0, lavatube. What's getting me (and thankfully the cheaper side) is the different liquid deliveries. I'm fairly obsessed with making sure I at least try one of everything. The biggest issue is that when I started 2 months ago CE2.5 was the latest thing, and now they're up to CE9. I just can't keep up! I've gone through LR/SR's, XXL cartos, tanks, clearos, dripping, cartridges, and whatever else I can get. Whenever I order replacements I make sure to buy at least one new product to test out. Who knows? It may be the "perfect" vape valhalla.

Really really really want to get my hands on a zenesis and provari, but them's too rich for my blood at the moment, even used.

I have been vaping a little over a year and am finally settling down some and will save. I have no idea how much I've spent the first year and probably don't want to know. lol. But I think for those of us that are taking this as a hobby and overspending, once we get done overspending the first year we tend to settle down after we get all our favorite toys and tons of backups, etc. I expect from this point forward I will begin to save alot and for many years now compared to when I was smoking analogs. But like I said, my first year was crazy! ha! (I have 2 Provaris, wooden bottom feeder vv box, another vv box, a couple acrylic mods, KGO's, EGO's. whew....yea, I'm sure I will be saving now that I am over the hype of having my toys! lol.

I am still spending more on vaping than I did on smoking, but vaping is not only feeding a former deadly and expensive habit, it's fast becoming a true hobby, as well. Even considering top shelf mods like the ProVari, it's still a very cheap and affordable hobby. The amount of time I spend reading up on stuff and window shopping is enormous, but waning somewhat. Still, like others have said, as long as you don't end up homeless in your pursuit of all thing vaping, I see no problem with it at all. I think between forums and vapemail, vaping might be MORE addictive than smoking ever was.

A little update on my previous post on this thread a couple of months back.

So the Provari is amazing, haven't had the need for anything else since. I started falling out of love with my cartos though... moved onto a DID and OMFG amazing. It's my vape nirvana, Provari + DID, and soon to be my new White Provari Mini with matching Mini DID.
