I gave up smoking 20+ a day over nine years ago, I really don't like the smell of a cigarette so would never start back, but have had a lot of stress lately and needed something, so last week got an evod kit and have just brought a protank2.
i have started on 6mg juice and have feel no need to increase this.
Should I feel guilty as I'm really enjoying it.

Awe... just get some nic gum and then you won't feel guilty. Since, after all, chewing gum is socially acceptable behavior.

Seriously, I think you're taking good care of yourself. You may think you would never smoke again but why run the risk? I lost track of the number of times I quit in nearly 60 years. Stressful times were when I went back. vaping, though long-term risks are unknown as of now due in part to the propaganda "science" produced by ANTZ, has been proven safer than smoking. I don't inhale vape so I figure risks are slim to none actually. And you can always quit vaping too ya know should you decide to but its way easier to do than quitting smoking because of physical addiction to all the chemicals in smokes which aren't in ejuices.

There is absolutely nothing to feel guilty about. Is it possible that the suggestion of guilt is brought on by the reintroduction of nicotine to your system? If so, then try a 0 nic juice, I know a few people that love to vape and use no nicotine at all, they just enjoy vaping. As always though ... YMMV!

hmmm you could continue to vape and feel guilty or you could go back to ciggies and feel guilty and bad and start coughing again and have to replace the ashtrays and lighters you threw away when you quit and spend the bucks on cartons of ciggies and pay for higher health insurance and the list goes on. me, I got over the guilt after the 2nd puff off of my Vamo3. Oh BTW welcome to ECF

Thank you for the welcome, can you believe I still have the zippo I used for years, have no idea why though as I have no intention of using it again.
I don't feel so bad now. I am enjoying the different flavours I've tried so far, and am going to continue.
By the way is this mainly a US site? As I'm in the UK.

Keep the zippo you may need it to start charcoal on the grill for a BBQ or to light candles if the power goes out or on a birthday cake!

We have members from ALL over the world and a lot of UK ones!! We even have a section just for UK members :)

UK? So much for that constitution part then, oh well. It's just the pursuit of happiness you're missing, nothing says there's any right to catch it;). And welcome to ECF!

Hi Murphydog,

well, the first reply, was maybe just about as serious as your inquiry itself? (imho)

But seriously,
some people, need a beer or two to take the edge off. Alcohol is legal.
Nicotine is legal.
You need nicotine, and you are getting it in a way that is healthier than real cigarettes. Okok, so i can't prove this, nor anyone at this point - but go ask your doctor, and if he does't have his/her MD shoved so far up their a$s, then im sure they will tell you, vaping is better than smoking.

Addiction is generally a "bad" thing, ... and so addiction to let's say the previously mentioned alcohol or nicotine would be considered "bad" and thus your "guilt". But really, who out there is totally not addicted to something ... whether it be a bad tv series, 2 uncaring friends with benefits (or 10), online gaming, potato chips, doritos, oreos, or . . . .
Maybe you are not addicted and you need nicotine for this period in your life to keep your psyche stable.
You've quit smoking in the past, however, you have found some need for a little "something" now to keep stable... and instead of smoking you are vaping. Less smoke, less toxins.

What me worry?

If you still feel guilty after this rant, then try vaping 0mg juice. Maybe you aren't so addicted to nicotine itself, and just really need the action to help "smooth" you out. Nothing wrong with keeping a hobby to smooth out the nerves.
