I am going to start out by saying, I love my Triton. It was the perfect upgrade from the disposables and G6 for me.
Now Im getting to the point of wanting something more.

I could get the VV battery and make use of all my existing tanks and coils. But would it last me for a few months until I decide to go for a mod? (was looking at either a mvp2 or taste 3vv/vw with future possibilities of eVic or provari)
One thing that is putting me at a crossroads, is the price difference. $30 for the halo battery with only VV function or an extra $15 and step up to the other 2 with gives more possibilities.

I have been making similar threads all over the place, and sadly not many are getting responses. Just looking to see what the other halo users have been doing.

I can't say much for the vv/vw batteries. But, I purchased the 1300 mah battery, with the intentions of getting a vv. Instead, I went straight to mechanical mods and rba's. After having the 1300mah battery, I really like having a battery that can last almost four days. I couldn't see stepping back down to a smaller battery. I just compensate by building my coils in the 1.3 to 1.6 range. I use my triton day to day. On the weekends and around home i use the mechanical mod. I'm using three different tba's for the mech... Two foggers and an rsst. Each have different coil ranges.

I've seen The Innokin VV VW 3.o for about $28 on some websites. I have 1 in its a nice unit. Only 800mah but its a USB passthru. I have also used a Vision Spinner 2 1650mah VV and liked that alot also. Can be found for under $30 if you check around online Venders. From there I went to a Seigeli 20watt I bought for $75. Had for 3 months and am very satisfied with it. Nice thing about the Seigeli 20watt is you can get a SS 26650 TUBE from VariTube for $20. My last Buy was a Seigeli 30 watt and I again paid about $75 for that.

Vission Spinner 2 $25 Vision Spinner 2 1600mah - 101 Vape

iTaste VV v3 $26 http://101vape.com/variable-voltagewattage-devices/183-innokin-itaste-vv-v3-express-kit.html

Hey, we are always at a crossroad. I chose to go with the Triton Var V cause I had all the tanks. It has served me well for 10 months. Just recently I've played with a 1300 VV spinner so I can use some pyrex tanks. Remember, once you go to the ego/510, it's all new tanks, and each one seems to take another coil.

Just as you aren't locked into one juice flavor or one vendor, you aren't locked in to one type of device. And it's not like you are spending $1,200 for another guitar. Nor are you spending the big buck for the stinkies.

Once you dial in the right power to the coil, it doesn't matter if you get there by var volts or var watts or different resistance coils. At the end, it's the same.

So, buy a toy now. In a coupla weeks, get something else. As hobbies and obsessions go, this vaping thing is relatively cheap. :toast:

I was at the same point you are awhile back. I went with a VTR and Aerotanks, now have added a sigelei 30w and fogger4s and a veil plum.

BUT!!!

I did just also buy a Halo Triton VV, even after I bought everything else. Why?? Because sometimes it is just easier to go out and about with a stick batt.

and even with all the new gear, I was still using my triton's on occasion.

If I was doing it over again. Knowing what I know now. I would of skipped the VTR/MVP step because the 15/11watt and ohm limit of those two is a bit too restrictive. I would of gone with a DNA30 or SX300 based 30w device. Just so I have more options for tanks. While not doing super sub-ohming, but I do like to have the veil plume at 0.8 and that wouldnt work well on a MVP or VTR.
