I really like your "Camo Vamo" I've been thinking of doing something like that to mine, although being the 3th version I might have to fill all the grooves in it.

What did you use for this, contact paper, vinyl wrap or ?
It is the V3, it's a vinyl skin from vapor skinz, no problems with the grooves, it actually fills them in nicely so the grooves show less, you will have to degrease it, but be careful, it can cloud/etch the plastic OLED screen cover tough

The V5 is my second Vamo. I love these things and I'm a box mod guy. Got mine from Fasttech a week ago, took about about 2 weeks to get here. Check out RTD vapor for batteries (AW or Efest) and chargers (Nitecore). Don't order batts from FT (China) because of shipping problems. Good luck!

going to get the Vamo V3 also and have read enough here to know I need a Nitecore charger and AW batteries but do I get 18350 or 18650 or both? One of each or two of each? Also Nitecore 2 or 4?
thanks

you can run Efest in them as well...I have an 18650 from RTD Vapor and it runs like a champ, 2x days of vaping off a charge but I bought 2 batts and swap em out before the batteries fully drain (it makes em last longer) I recommend a Nitecore i4 in case you need to charge multiple batteries

SO then I need just one 18650 to run it? Buy two and charge one while running the other?

Yes, every day swap em out...I hammer the hell out of my Vamo, go thru 2-2.5ml Vivi nova mini tanks (clones from FT) with my favorite flavors, end of the day I would be at 3.7vdc (well above the Low V shutoff) pop out old battery, put in fresh charged battery for the next day, just rotate em out) [not draining Li Ion all the way to the "safety low voltage shutoff increases recharge cycle longevity a bunch]

By far my favorite tank on the Vamo has been the protank 2 mini clone from FT , on the coils I pop the chimney off, pull the flavor wicks, rip off the end of a q-tip, fluff it up so there aren't any bumps in it, then twist a very thin chunk of cotton (it has to be thin or it unwinds gets puffy and starts gurgling), lay it across the coil channel, put back on the chimney and rubber piece, then using fingernail clippers nip off the extra wick...flavor and vape is INCREDIBLE, plus is eGo threaded (external threads) and it fits much more snug on the Vamo and doesn't wear out the internal threaded 510 head, in fact I suggest eGo threaded clearomizers they fit more snug, don't wobble and in case you ever strip the 510 threads, you have backups for your backups of your backups ;)

P.S. This tank is also a very very good one...repeat the same "flavor wick" swap as the mini

You can also run stacked 18350 button top batteries, but you have to have 4x of em, and keep them as mated pairs

I'm late to the party, but I'll jump in anyway. I like my Vamo, but I like the Sigelei Zmax better. I have a Vamo V2 (how can there be a V5 when I only got it this summer?) and it is a bit "delicate." I've heard the weak 510 connector and less than durable finishes have been corrected in the new versions, but just based on what I have, I've found the Sigelei to feel more substantial and perform more consistently. FastTech is selling Sigelei now.

I'm just gonna throw this out there before the throngs of xxx supporters come and offer their advice.

Get a provari.

The OP specifically asked for information about the Vamo or similar mods within that price range. To post "Get a ProVari" is not only irrelevant to the thread, but perpetuates the misconception that ProVari enthusiasts are obnoxious fanbois. Your future discretion would be greatly appreciated.
