OK, I have ordered a Little Chuck with a 901 connector as I have only used 901's for the last 10 months. Call me old fashioned, but I stuck with the 901 because I developed a system that seemed to work pretty well for me (other than constantly changing batteries) and my vaping style of using DYI juice and the PTB filler. Due to my preference for a darker, VG mixed, Coffee-Mocha juice, I do tend to have to clean out the attys quite a bit. Of course, there is nothing like a fresh, new atty, so I probably have accumulated a couple dozen or more 901 attys.

So I developed my little vaping system, haven't had a ciggie in 10 months, life stuff came up (my mom passed away and I have had to be on the mainland alot, prepping her house for sale, etc), so I pretty much disappeared from ECF for several months.

I come back and everyone is trying different systems like the 510 and the 801 and cartos and of course, mod after mod after mod.

I definitely know I want the Little Chuck for the consistant power, and of course Jeff's master craftsmanship. I am on day 18 of The Wait and just know the birth must be close.

But I am wondering now about attys. It seems so many prefer the 510 to the 901. With the firepower of the Little Chuck, is there really any difference between using a 901 atty vs a 510? Isn't an atty an atty, with the main difference being the cart attached to it? I like my 901 whistle-tip, especially since it is comfortable in my mouth with the regular battery setup, but it won't be hanging from my lips once it is connected to a Chuck!

So, as an atomiser, is the 510 really any better than the 901? Am I missing something? Does its cart hold more or less juice than a 901?

And the final, perhaps stupid question: If I have a Little Chuck with a 901 connection, I can just order the adapter to try a 510 atty on it? Jeff's site says: "Adaptor Kit 510 to 801/901 with air channel for use with Cartomizers." Does it work in reverse, as in 901 TO 510? Or do I need to START with a 510 Connector and then get the adapter???

Sorry for the long-winded idiocy, but I figured you are the guys to ask, and if I hurry I could probably have Jeff throw in an adapter.

Thanks for your patience...

Aloha

I can't answer about adapters for anything other that than the 510 to whatever.
I usually prefer the 901 - I just like it better. I never saw the greatness everyone raved over with the 510... until I got my chuck. I still prefer my 901, but the vapor production on the 510 is better. The flavor is not (IMO). I often get that burnt taste on the 510 (@ 3.7v). The 510 and 801 do better than the 901 on the thicker VG liquids for me as I can flood a 901 atty like no tomorrow!

As far as whistle tips - I love them! So far the only e-cig I haven't been able to use them on is the M401 - and I never tried because I use the Phoenix stock for out and about (its pink). For the 510 I just trim the end down a little and for cartos I trim the end down farther, remove the cap and silicone ring. So far I haven't melted one at all. :D

Bottom line - I think whatever atty you usually like you will like it just as much or better on a Chuck.:D
And if you decide you want to switch... well it gives you an excuse to get another one!
