Should I put together my own kit or?

Good Morning.

One pack a day smoker here.

Seems the consensus might be to purchase vape items separately. Although, just purchasing a kit might be my best bet.

I know I need: batteries, Cartomizer, Chargers and Liquid.

Saw this from a past post. EGO-EVOD 6-in-1 Rechargeable 900mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set-
$20.04 EGO-EVOD 6-in-1 Rechargeable 900mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - double e-cigarette / black / 2.6

Any thoughts on where to purchase other required elements. Although, if it only costs me $10-$15 more and I can get a full set up from a smoke shop, I can go that route.

As far as cartomizer/atomizer go, it appears Kanger and Viva Nova are the choices of many. Is this true, and why?

If someone could provide links for me to purchase all items separately, or an all inclusive set up , it would greatly assist me.

Have a nice morning.

Basically, Kanger has a bottom coil setup. It is an all around cleaner design in both refilling and replacing the atomizer. However, it comes at a cost because many feel that Kanger's clearomizers mute the flavor of juice a bit. With the bottom coil setup, it decreases the likelihood of getting a "dry hit" in which the juice doesn't get to the atomizer and you get a mouthful of nastiness.

Vivi Novas are a top coil system. When it works, it's great. Unfortunately, some have issues with leaking and then you are more likely to get a dry hit. But they allow for better tasting of juice.

Both have good and bad points. Most people like one or the other.

As far as your kit goes, as a newbie, I would recommend ordering your first vape supplies from fast tech. They are great for good prices and all. You're better off getting your first gear from somewhere in the U.S. That way if you run into any problems or whatever, you can always chat with them a lot easier. That said, that seems like a decent setup. You still need to buy juice though and fasttech is definitely not the place for that. I would do some searches on what you want flavor wise and see what kinds of deals are going on.

If anyone has a link to Fasttech's start kits, please post.

Have a nice morning.

Thats a good kit for a newbie, the ego/Evod combo is very simple and pretty hassle free, I would get a pack of spare heads for the Evods as these can last days or months depending on luck. https://www.fasttech.com/product/1386200

Be aware orders from FastTech will take a couple of weeks to arrive but are cheaper.

That's not a bad kit for a newbie. Much better than the garbage I spent double for as my first kit.

Fasttech is one of my favorite vendors. Most domestic vendors could learn from Fasttech's awesome customer service.

In order to browse FT, you have to learn "Fasttech-speak" :)

For example, the FT equivalent for "starter kit" is "electronic cigarettes set" :) type that into their searchbox...

learning Fasttech-speak is a bit of a hurdle at first, but well worth the effort :)

if you prefer a domestic option then i see this recommended a lot:
http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm
it's a mix & match kit and may save some grief since you can try different things. i wish this had been my first kit

Congrats on deciding to quit smoking and welcome to the forum ....if you have a vape store in your area it might be an idea to go check out some of your options in person and then you would have a better idea of what you are ordering online. Both kits are good, but I do really like my ego twists as offered in the kit posted by dwallen, however there is a big price difference, I'm not sure if fastech has the twist or spinner.
