Should I really wait for a 510 Adapter?

My desire for a prodigy is growing daily. I currently vape using several 510's... but the battery life (especially on the new, slightly shorter manual batteries) leaves much to be desired...

I'm a heavy vaper, and the batteries seem to need charging about every hour and a half... It's getting very annoying.

Anyway, I want to ask about the throat hit one can get from the 801 atomizer. Is it comparable to the 510? I've tried 901 atomizers and they just don't seem to give me the throat hit I need, and that's with using 36mg eliquid.

With the 510, eliquid from 18mg to 36mg gives me plenty of throat hit. For me, vapor production is secondary if not completely unnecessary, as long as I get throat hit.

If the 801 atomizer can give me the throat hit I need, I may not wait around until the 510 adapter is ready. So I'm hoping someone out there has used both the 510 and 801 enough to compare throat hit for both models.

Also, I've noticed that the 901 kit comes with 3.7v 18650's instead of RCR123a's like the 801 kit. Does this mean that the 901 atty cannot stand up to 6 volts, while the 801 atty can?

I've heard that higher voltage means greater throat hit, so I need these facts before making my decision.

Also, about how long will it be until the kits are actually shipped, and how long before a 510 adapter becomes available (ready to be shipped)?

Any info will be very helpful!

Thanks,

Ult

I use both daily, 510 at work and the 801 at home. The 801 I use on a home made pass through getting 5v 1000mah through a wall wart. I use both carts and drip with the 801, both work well. You wont be disappointed with the 801 when you feed it more voltage. I ordered the prodigy base kit (I have plenty of batteries) and am waiting for the 510 adapter to order that too. 510 for cart use, and the 801 for dripping... Life will be good.

I know this is off topic here, but Robw, did you know that everytime I see your avatar, I feel the need to duck! 8-o
Hard to tell from your avatar what model and caliber that is, nice finish!
I love revolvers, but I carry a SA simply for larger capacity. Most people mistakenly think a SA is faster than a revolver, which is not true.

Sorry guys, subject for a completely different forum.

Now back to the Prodigy.
I ordered the 801 kit plus a 901 adaptor with a couple of 18650s. This will give me something to play with until the 510 adaptor becomes available. I will be ordering it the second it is released. After using a 510 for about a month now, I no longer desire to use anything else. I too get annoyed at having to change out batteries every hour or so.
As My Mama used to say, "Good things come to those who wait."
But patience is hard!

Ult,

I made a 6.0v magnum a few months back that uses the RN4072s ...
and recently made another that uses the 510.

side by side comparison ... both kick ....

id say spring for the 901 and get the 510 adapter when it becomes available.
wooooo!!!... i want to try the extra voltage:D

and with a quick pop of the top and a few turns, you have both with the same battery housing!!
