Today I received the PT with an 801 and 510 adapter. To test them out, I used a brand new 510 and 801 atomizer and plugged the sucker into my usb iphone charger adapter.
The 801 rig is pretty sweet -- ton of warm vapor, bringing out excellent taste from the juice (I am using JC Tennessee Cured 0 nic, new recipe). Great setup, terrific vape.
510 is another story. Not sure if its the adapter but the impression so far havent been as smooth as the 801 experience. The adapter does not screw in as far as the 801 adapter(unless im doing something wrong) and I hear high pitch whistling noises during a hit. The 510 hit is a 510 hit..nothing more, nothing less. I was expecting a dramatic improvement over a traditional 510 atom/510 battery setup but so far it has been just 'good'. Certainly better than a traditional cheap chinese usb pass but I wonder if there are any rough edges in the adapter that prevent it from reaching its full potential. Any thoughts?
Overall, the product is worth every penny -- Excellent work on Steve and Casey's end. In short, it's not the Jesus Christ of vaping, but it's close.
EDIT: The 510 vape is starting to ramp up. Perhaps my atomizer needed to break in. I'll report back if I see any dramatic improvements.
