The button got stuck on my ego pt(during normal use, not like in it went off in my pocket and I didnt notice it right away) and the atty went glowing red hot. Tapped the button again and it shut off. Atty tasted really burnt after that, but I cleaned it and it seems ok now. Put a different atty on the pt and haven't had any button issues yet and put the other atty on a different batt and it seems to be alright too. Does the button acting squirrely 1 time justify not using it anymore? Or should I just keep using it and hope it doesn't happen again.
Should I retire this battery?

I wouldn't throw the battery away because of a one time incident

Do a good thorough cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and be sure to get it pretty moist around the button. That usually clears it up.
