I picked up the KFL+ clone (I don't know who the manufacturer is, picked up from local B&M) and basically scrapped all my clearo/carto toppers except for one evod that I use when I go to work. Changing coils/wicks is just pennies to the dollar now, not to mention a highly customizable vape experience that you just cant get from any clearomizers/cartomizers. Sure, you can re-wick/re-coil a Protank but the flavor and TH more or less stays the same depending on your build. With the KFL, very small tweaks to the direction of the coil, distance from the air-hole, size, wicking methods, etc... make some really noticeable changes.
Do I regret not getting this sooner? Not really, I enjoyed everything I used to date, and having that as a reference makes it easy to notice the improvement on my vaping experience now. Would I recommend the KFL+ right off the bat to a new user, or semi new user? Probably not, especially if you enjoy what you have now, and you may or may not eventually look to trying to improve your experience. I actually think its better to start with a Kanger product and learn to tailor your build to exactly how you want it. If you find that is not enough anymore, you have plenty of great options to choose from
I plan on getting another one since I don't want to keep switching back and forth with devices and coil builds, but not another clone this time now that I know the design is as solid as everyone says.
I prefer the look of the 2 metal rings and small window, but the functionality of all polycarb is where its at for me at this time. On the MVP2, I like my build around 1.6-1.8 ohm, set horizontally and fired at about 10W. On the mechanical, I like the build at around 1.4ohm with the coil setup vertically w/ cotton wrapped on the outside. I have to add straight VG to my juice to lower the nic level and flavor as its pretty intense set in this configuration.
