Hi. I am thinking seriously of buying a kayfun lite or kayfun lite clone. But I have never had an rba before nor am I particularly handy.

Are these really difficult atomizers to run? I don't want to get in over my head and have something I can't figure out how to use? It will be going on a provari 2.5.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions about particularly good youtube videos to show me how to do the rebuilding, that would be helpful.

Thanks.
Doug

It's really quite easy. You don't have to be particularly handy. I purchased the EHPRO Kayfun Lite Plus clone last week and have tried a few different coil types. Every single one of them has worked just fine. Of course I have my personal favorite coil type, but that is just a matter of preference and what works best with the set-up I have. RipTrippers has some great videos of builds, although his generally are on different types of coil builds. Grimm Green has a video of him building a coil with pretty much just the stuff that comes out of the box and a pair of clippers. It will work, but I cannot guarantee that it will be the best type of coil for your particular set-up or vaping preferences.

I love mine. I just have to now pour out all the juice I have in my protanks and protank mini's Once you taste the flavor on these things it's really hard to go back.

As far as builds, I'm 48 years old, I don't have the best eyesight anymore and I can build an effective coil.

I personally love this method that I posted about in this thread. It's really hard to screw up. If you wanna micro coil and all that jazz. Knock yourself out. This gets the job done and it's about as easy as can be.

Really easy to build these. If you get one I'm sure you'll love it, Its the only thing I use now. I bought the 2014 Kayfun Lite Plus because I wanted the sealed fill hole and adjustable 510 screw and air flow control as apposed to the Kayfun Lite.
If you end up buying one I recommend a full disassemble to clean all threads and to wash with hot soap and water "I washed mine with isopropyl alcohol then soap and hot water" if used straight out of box chances are you'll get a machine oil taste. Currently using the navy nest build with cotton wick and couldn't be happier!

Not sure where your purchasing from but I'd recommend this or the EHPro version. This is the samething as the glorified "Black Edition" ofr if you wait for some sellers to get them back I stock they can be had for cheaper. Payed $38.50 for mine

Go to youtube and search for:

kayfun pbusardo

or

kayfun rip trippers

That ought to get you started.

I've use silica on my kayfuns but micro coil with 28 kanthal and organic cotton ball build will deliver the best bang out of this device. Rewicking this set up is a breeze. Rip tripper has a build I have not tried yet looks like it may improve it more.

Bad eyesight? ... Can't see those itty-bitty coils good enough to do a nice job?

Never fear ... For a mere $5.79 (with free shipping), you will now be able to see that little coil as good as an eagle!

Get a set of these goofy looking "Eye Jeweler / Watch Repair" 20x magnifier glasses that our 'blow-up doll' here is wearing, and you won't have any more problems! :)

P.S. ... Works great on Halloween too, if you want to dress up like a space alien or a robot!

If you do get clone...replace the dam screws with stainless steel ones...I got Russian 91% and HCigar Kayun 3.1....The Russian had no issues with Dawn soap bath, plus two rebuilds already..but after few builds and the Dawn soap bath ..the screws on the HCigar are showing some coloring...

Both hit well, and besides the deck screws and air flow controller screw, I would recommend a good clone if price is factor..in fact I prefer HCigar for building..the center deck on the Russian 91% is small and screw that holds the decks is PITA..

Fasttech had similar issue with their Kayfun clones..they sent out replacement stainless steel screws to their customer....

I haven't had time to go home Depot to replace mine yet...
