Should I try something other than Kanthal A-1?

I'm about to order some wire, but before I do I would like to know what everyone is using and why. Titanium? Nichrome 80? Stainless Steel (seems to be what Gplat is)? Does the wire really make a difference? Will it add wraps to my coils to get the resistance I want?

Anywhere between 0.3 and 0.8 ohms.

some love gplat. personally i'm happy with my kanthal a1. 98% of the time I use 28ga... thats me though, I've tried some crazy coils with different guage wires (24/32, all kanthal) but to me it was more work than it was worth. The vape on a .5-.8 dual microcoil is good enough for me.
