I recently had an incident with one of my parrots;
The doctor left right after stitching me up, and the nurse seemed like he barely n knew his in name. Didn't feel like trying to explain something most likely new to him (ecigs are not very wide spread where i live to the point if someone know what one is, it's a blu they have seen on a commercial on TT v) so he could just say not to do it.
ok. first of all i'm sorry, i know it was a serious situation … but that has got to be one of the funniest lines i've ever read here! omg, i laughed so hardz!![]()
Oh, it is funny (in a way)! You don't know the half of it - I got my tongue pierced all the way through by one; my hubby got his ear bitten and had to wear his head completely wrapped in gauze for several days to prevent cauliflower ear! Those are just the most extreme incidents (along with getting my lip almost torn off). There have been many more in almost 25 yrs. of owning parrots! Parrots are very moody!And smart, loving, funny, and sweet....
I recently had an incident with one of my parrots; got my upper lip torn in half horizontally (ugh, yes!). Had to have 5 stitches. It has healed pretty well, thankfully. I vaped as much as normally - no problem.
They *always* say "don't smoke" -- as if that's possible, for a smoker! -- for anything to do with the mouth. They'd do the same with vaping, I'm 99% certain. For me, "don't smoke" might as well have been swahili, for all the good it does -- smokers can't just turn off that need, and I'm pretty sure neither can vapers -- I sure couldn't. If you are addicted, you do what you must to get what you need. Hence, doing it carefully, softly, trying to decrease the amount of suction you need in order to get a hit, maybe increasing the nic level a bit so you don't need to do it so often, etc -- and yeah, whatever you do put in your mouth, make sure it's clean. The vapor itself is not an issue, as was explained above.
Andria
You said it right, Andria. I've had more dental work than I care to remember in my life, including lots of extractions. They always said "Don't smoke." And I always smoked. I remember my lips being too numb to keep the cigarette between them. No problem, I just held my lips shut with both hands and puffed away.Gently, of course.
I woulda been vaping on the way to hospital, in the hospital and home from the hospital as I am still a recovering smoker.
