FWIW, i'm another one who also smoked after every tooth extraction and all the dental work i ever had ... even multiple wisdom tooth extractions, and never had any problems or complications, and never had an issue with slow healing.
what i did was took a small piece of gauze, wet it with sterile-right-from-the-bottle-distilled water, and covered the affected tooth area with it - and thus successfully avoided the dreaded 'dry socket', and infection, EVERY TIME. Since the wound area was covered, no smoke ever got into the wound or open socket. You could do something similar by draping the stitched part of your bottom lip with some wet gauze, then gently using the opposite corner of the mouth for the tip of your PV.
another thing you could try (which i JUST tried to see if it would work, and it
did!),

is: after inserting the
vape tip into the opposite corner, use the fingers of your free hand to hold your lips closed around it, so it makes a seal - then just inhale without moving your lips, nor pursing them. i just tried this and yes! it worked fine - no need to even move the lips at all. By using this method you can gently inhale without using your lips at all, nor pulling on the wound.
