Yep. It's just a belt.

$2.50 at the thrift store, can you image an nice copper/brass battery housing clad in this?

2" wide, bout 30" long, buckle is real wood too, maybe attach a battery case and suck-a-ton onto the back....well...you see where I'm going. The leather itself should be enough material for several classy mods.

Dan, it's lovely and very practical. I'm converting mine to all fit a genisis, and I would like to do a 15mm geni with a 14500 dual tube with no booster with the just a mouthpiece and switch sticking out. As it is, the beast is quite nice with an appropriate resistance for 5v. By far it delivers the richest and fullest vape from the bunch, and that from start to finish.

Cracker, which hardware store has the lamp repair parts?

Thanks Guys
Asdaq a complement from you is a real honor since I love your brass mod work you have produced .And Gummy you are a great modder from the work Ive seen you produce also it is an honor to be complemented by you. Both you guys Rock the mod world .
Mine is kind of heavy with a 18650 bat and all that copper and about a 4ml tank. I love parts of it and hate parts of it lol .But I use it exclusively everyday. The charge last all day and I vape about 2.5ml a day. If I could change anything about it it would be the wiring .And I plan on it as soon as the Hybrid I got from Peace comes in . In fact I plan a total rebuild of it . But I have to have a Genisis up and running before I de-construct this one for a refit . Oh by the way I also really like the way the copper gets a cool patina when being used daily it gives it an antique look that is hard to reproduce.

Honestly, I live in a small island (population 2400 year round), and we only have one local store, but......if you go to a Lowe's or Home Depot, you find a wall of fasteners that are stored in bins like these (our local store's distributor is Hillman, this is a pic from their site)

One small section in my store is labeled "lamp repair", it's only 4-5 little drawers of stuff, but they look like this:

Hopefully you have something like it near you.

Cool, thanks! Unfortunately I don't have something like that here, I'd have to buy a whole lamp. That looks sorta like the setup in Ace though, possibly home depot. Where you at, Friday Harbor? Camano? I'd already guessed either Olympia or Bellingham, lol. That belt looks like it has potential, I was thinking some braided leather padding by the ends somehow, using thin cord.

At my local store, these particular bins are in the electrical/ home A/V section, not with the rest of the fasteners, kinda like how the faucet repair section looks the same but is located elsewhere, I'd suggest you look around a bit, it may just be hiding in some part of the store you don't normally visit.

San Juan Islands. That's as close as I get to the truth on public forms. If you knew my name, and came to my island, you could ask anyone and they could tell where to find me. It's that small.

I just may have to pop over for a visit this summer ;)

I've looked intensely. They'd much rather sell the whole lamp unfortunately, or special order from the manufacturer. I can get drawer pull knobs, but they tend to be M4, rather like 6#32, which that stuff looks to be. It adds weight quite a bit. Still very useful info.

Looks like a good plan with the vial, you could even have it fire with a light press, and a hard press would also 'inject' rather than 'eject'.

I've thought about maybe trying to start a get-together here in the islands, for any in Western Washington. And I'd really like to invite the entire king county board of health so they can understand first-hand how harmless our addiction has become.

Sure.
It has a battery tube ,bronze spring soldered to the bottom conducts the negative threw the mod case . Negative side not switched, steady negative power flow threw case.
I used 3/4 inside diameter copper pipe and same end caps .
I also didn't run the power wires threw the tank like most do, I ran them out the side of the atty mount, with O-rings on top of that.
Bottom of tank is a Teflon plug with O-rings .
Atty is aluminum with a stainless steel tube pushed threw it 2ml hole inside . The atty complete with cap fits inside the 3/4 tubing with room to spare for wires .
Negative ground is a wire soldered to a bronze coil that sets on the top of the mouthpiece cap and under the copper cap and conducts power threw the mouthpiece.
The positive power is feed threw a slot in the side of the cases. I used a round plug on top of the battery and epoxy-ed it in place with a small dimple in the side of the copper tube just in case the epoxy lost it hold. A radio shack 3-amp momentary switch sets on top of the battery case cap .
Really kind of simple setup.
The rest ,the copper has bottom tank has a spring to hold atty tight against top cap. I cut a locking slot in the top of the atty case cap to lock to the atty case with a small copper stud soldered in the case to lock to sanded them to fit and smoothed inside from cutting anything. Did the same on the battery case on both ends to be able to access both sides of it .
I Put copper large gauge wire around the two to mount them together soldered them to the wire . Thats about it . hopes that helps Rock.
Dan
