One battery with a 2596?

its a 2577, so boost converter vs the 2596 which is a buck. efficiency with the 2577 is lower than 2596 (less battery life), but works fine for me + i only need one 18650 instead of 2 batteries in series. works great so far, and vapes much better than my mech mod. the only downside i've come across is easily burning juice from being a little over ambitious with turning the wattage up. no real problems with voltage drop under load running microcoils@2.5ohms average (as long as i keep max output below 2.5a).

Im getting one and trying...hey question...if you get a 5amp rated buck like say this here 1pcs Lithium Charger Step Down 5A 5V 32V to 0 8V 30V Power Supply Module | eBay can we run lower ohm coils with no issue?

5a means that you could run as low as 1ohm@5v, .74ohm@3.7v, or any combination in between... however i wouldn't since the 5a is the max rated (if that is not terribly overrated by seller/manufacturer) and would probably require heatsinking+airflow to keep from having issues. from my personal experience, the only way to tell for sure if a cheap chinese circuit/board will work is to buy it and try it.... actually i think that applies to all cheap, mass-produced chinese electronic devices.
