Hoosier Vapes recommends you leave the little white plug/cap IN for their Elegance and Evolution tanks. Not sure why but maybe it helps keep more condensation in the carto to help keep it moist? It also might help cut down on any discoloration inside the pretty cap.

I have two of them and have used them both ways with what seemed like the same result but I try to remember to leave them in.

Girls, you are all experts in the field, and most with exquisite understanding of color coordination, style and flair. So I pose this question to you who are subscribed to this awesome thread.

I'm still searching for the perfect vape coupled with the perfect aesthetic. This has me stymied. Carto tanks are awesome because they open you up to a world of pretty things: tanks, glass, colors, drip tips, designs, etc.

I love that - and I love the ways you can mix and match, creating elegant and lovely looks.

BUT: I can taste the carto filling, as many who have posted on this site have warned of. I'm sure this is a matter of taste bud sensitivity - I am a foodie and a wanna be gourmet (I "fiddle"), and I really do taste the finer nuances of food and e-liquids. So for me, carto tanks are not the ideal vape. The end-all-be-all vape would be one that provides the full flavor of the juice and nothing else, and doesn't require constant dripping (love/hate relationship with atomizers).

Love the Protanks (the new ones that allow you to use your own drip tips) and Davide glassomizers - they are easy and nice to look at and give a great vape every time... but they do mute flavor just a bit. Anything with a wick is going to mute flavor and give you a bad hit now and then.

So I guess what I want is a bottom feeder/Reo with an atty on it. The pure taste and function of an atomizer with the convenience of a quick squeeze to refill the three drops you need for that perfect hit. But my problem is, I hate the way they look. :(

Is there any way to get a pretty bottom feeder?

I'm looking through all the pages of this thread (it's taking a loooong time!) and so far, I haven't seen one bottom feeder that appeals to me visually (although I've sen LOTS of stunning PV's of other varieties!). But I can't be the only one who has had this thought process. Surely there MUST be a beautiful bottom feeder!!!

Nope.... you're definitely not the only one. Although I'm not a foodie I can feel every bit of what you're saying. I have bottoms arriving tomorrow. A Protank and a DBox. Aesthetically I don't have a decorative eye like whats been posted in this thread. I wish I did cause I'd love to have THAT look that says WOW!

Sadly, no although beauty is in the eye of the beholder and many think their Reos are beautiful.

You can purchase decorative cases for the VMODs. The VMODs have a shape which is more rounded than the Reo which I very much prefer from both a user and esthetic point of view. Unfortunately, Vapage is darned proud of their logo which is not a lovely addition to the case. :( There is also the little problem of the fugly plastic bottle that bottom feeders use. I've got a couple of ideas for that but haven't gotten around to trying them yet-clear, colored tape or maybe a sheer fabric cozy? I dunno—not thrilled with either idea.

My dream vape is dripping performance with pushbutton VW at low watts with an HH.357 atty saturated to just a hair below flooded. The AMP Tank gets me there. However, they have a sticker shock problem. They also have gap-itis but that can be solved with a polymer clay washer. Some people find them fiddly but I haven't and own five. I also find that they keep my HH.357's more saturated than my VMOD-XL does but that preference is strictly a matter of personal taste.

I have very high hopes for the new Vision Aurora BFT which is basically a reasonably priced kit that turns any tube PV into a bottom feeder. The Aurora feeds in a way similar to the VMOD. Unfortunately, it also shares the same fugly plastic bottle issue. The metal housing isn't a design delight but it does come in colors. The Auroras have not been released in the U.S. yet but Todd gave it a great review. I ordered a purple one from the UK on Friday morning but it will be coming via slow boat and hasn't shipped yet.

You are awesome! I've just ordered a purple Vision Aurora BFT - hopefully I get it in the next month or so. I was a bit disappointed that you can't actually see the colors when you order - I hope it's a nice purple. But as far as function goes - this looks like it may be PERFECT! And I feel like I'll be able to dress it up with the right drip tip and some glittery doo-dads like rhinestone rings, etc...

THANK YOU!

Just wanted to share my cool toolbox I found on clearance at Lowes last week! Thought you girls might like it!

This is exactly what I have been looking for so I ran down to Lowes to get one, my local Lowes didn't have them but one not too far away did so I headed down there. Be advised these are on clearance so if you want one I would suggest getting to Lowes ASAP.

Thank you for showing this to us. :)

I love the way my VMod looks. I bought the green color since the pink they have is way too light in color. But I don't like the way it vapes! I prefer my carto tanks. Vapage is always having 50% off sales.

I just realized I had no idea what a bottom feeder was. Bare with me....still learning this stuff.
I thought V was talking about bottom coil tanks so I responded according to my thought process UNTIL I saw a Reo Vape vid and heard it called a bottom feeder.
I did watch the vid in it's entirety then hurried up and went to do something else before I start spending even more money on yet another device I don't need right now.

But Bukket's VMOD shhhhhhure is pretty!

I too loathe the taste of carto filler, but adore carto tanks...here's what I use:

The Aurora has certainly caused a bit of attention, and it appears that GotVapes will be the first to carry them here. They posted just tonite.

Hmmm - the purple is more like a dark pink isn't it. :( Now I wish I had ordered the green one.

Any ideas to make the plastic part look prettier?

OK two questions... where did you get that drip tip, and what don't you like about the vape on that Vmod?

OK so the more I read about this, the more I like the idea - it's a "fillerless" carto! But the tanks are all plastic - can you use the fillerless "Raven" style carto in other tanks?

The cartos work in the SmokTech Pyrex tanks. I was advised to use the non-flanged ones for the tank. Waiting on some to arrive but in the meantime, I put the tank upside down on a flanged carto. It works really well. Hope that helps!

And it's not really that Pepto pink color, it's more of a hot pink. My phone just doesn't capture the color well.
