Heh, my chihuahuas think they are big 120 pound dogs anyway the way they act. Especially Leo, he thinks he's big and fierce (until he runs away LOL). My Julie thinks she's human and dogs are icky.

maybe it's a gender thing?
on leash or in the house he will KEEEEL you!...dog park...he runs around like a crazyhead saying hi to every animal and human and then picks one to run over to and lay on his back like "don't kill me please" and he is obsessed in a good way with puggles, bostons, and pugs...no idea why.
daisy really only plays with brody...otherwise she only pays attention to most humans if they have a squeaky ball or any ball that they WILL throw....or food...but mostly a squeaky ball.

daisy is chihuahua/beagle/italian greyhound
brody is min-pin/italian greyhound
both shelter kids :)

sadly...i mostly talk about a few things...they rotate in and out...hair stuff (work), motorcycles, animals, and now vaping....animals (mostly dogs) is always guaranteed in almost any conversation LOL

You can tell she knows that she looks fantastic :)

right? any time she sees the camera (phone) pointed at her she sits up a little straighter..."fluffs" her ears....
except the mud picture LOL

My Boston Chester is the same way, thinks he is human and our big boys are just silly dogs.

Hahaha. Yup. That's Julie. All other dogs are just not worth of the princesses' time.

Ha! I'm slightly obsessed with my fur babies. My human kids too, but my fur babies don't talk back (well, not usually). LOL. Yeah. Leo LOVES other dogs and will play and have a good time. He was abused so he's leering of humans anyway (although, it took two years, but he's letting me pet him now and will come over and snuggle with me when he's having a good day. Julie on the other hand, HATES dogs and will outright ignore them or even fight with a few (our neighbor's dog does NOT get along with her at all, she hates her but Leo plays with them both... just separately).

Hehe... love Jeff Dunham!

i've only seen either of them go after another dog when off leash a few times....usually a much bigger dog (neither of them like bulldogs for some reason) and then brody is a flying pirranah (sp?) and makes these super girly little barks while flying at their faces...he's got a lot of sound effects LOL
daisy just finds a ball and sits behind it looking pathetic until someone gives in and throws it because she looks so sad (she's got game)....she used to play with everyone and then her bff boxer mix quit coming around....so she plays with no one but brody and humans :(

yay! congratulations!

boy/girl?
age?
rescue situation?

Boy, age estimated to be 3. Beagle/Basset mix. Body and color of a Beagle, Face, ears, and feet of a Basset. he is a big love who pretty much just sleeps... preferably in a lap. We found him at a local rescue where he was found as a stray. I wanted to name him Lemmy, son wanted Max, so Max it is!

So side note, we had planned on bringing home an 11 year old Beagle from a Hound rescue, but they discovered she had a malignant tumor... No idea at the time the extent and she needed an ultrasound, but we have been through this with older dogs and... well it generally does not end well.

BUT good news! Like 3 hours after we came home with Max the Hound rescue called. The tumor was caught early enough and removed, nothing more on ultrasound. So.... we hope to have her with us soon :)

We had 3 Beagles at once before, didn't think we would do it again. Never say never! :)

larzis, thats a cute doggy.....albeit a bit sad looking but i'm sure he'll perk up in a few days :)

speaking of basset mixes....i wish i had taken a pic of this dog i saw at the shelter. it was a basset/german shepherd mix. honest to god, it was the body of a basset hound with the head of a german shepherd. looked like some cloning experiment gone wrong. poor thing. never seen a stranger looking dog in my life.

there is a pair of sister dogs i know that are supposedly ....wait for it....dachsund/boxer (i pegged them as basset/pit or basset/boxer)
i just can't wrap my head around the logistics of that pairing...how would that even be physically possible....i sure hope the mom was the boxer!

i had a basset/beagle that actually looked a lot like daisy only about 30lbs rather than 20lbs

... and this is Leo the day we got him in June 2009... he was SO scared and stayed in that bookshelf in my office crying for FOUR HOURS.
