In the link there are pics of me from 1958 and 1963 in front of my grandparents' house, and one I took of my sons in front of that house a couple years ago. We stopped by there to see the old place while we were in town - someone had done a bunch of renovations and put it up for sale. I loved that house, remember every square inch of it - lots of good memories there:

Personally, I liked the way the house looked with all the greenery, made it look so welcoming...and those urns are( were cuz they;re gone) classic!

I agree, it looks pretty stark now - my grandma always had beautiful gardens, etc. But it had passed through several owners over the years and gotten pretty dilapidated, so it looks a lot better freshened up than it did.

My great, great Aunt Della. She was a large and in charge, handsome woman. Lots of stories around the campfires of her...story says she gave Bonnie and Clyde a place to stay for a bit, stilled her own whiskey and didn't take any flack from anyone...

Agreed...it looks very nice, except for the lack of landscaping.

Aunt Della reminds me of my Aunt Roxie. Big woman, great fisher woman and cook. She cut a big pie in quarters and that was your piece! She always had candy out in dishes and a stock of cold Nehi soda.

Here's one that has followed me through the ages, I always act embarrassed when it resurfaces, but truth be known I loved that darn little dress... and the bonnet.

I'm also from the 70's Super X, when helmets were for wusses and seat belts for decoration. I know I rode on the back of this one pretty regularly, no helmet of course!

My eyes are bad but I am not seeing any action here

All I had to do was hold one of your mods and I knew that the dude behind em wasn't a stranger to crazy fast stuff and prolly did / does live on the edge.

That picture was a perfect example of "it sure seemed hardcore at the time" but looking at it now, if not for the exhaust and the rear wheels spinning alot faster than the front ( they always spun on a 250r in sand) it looks like I'm just sitting there going "brinnnng, brinnnng" :)
