Hi all.
I warn you before I start that I am not in good mood due to my Ego T!!
Much like everyone else here, I am hoping that the perfect E cig becomes available soon!
That said I know everyone is different and are looking for different things from their Ecig.
To cut a long story short. I started vaping a month ago, I have already spent a small fortune on things to try and improve on my initial vaping experience.
I have settled on an ego battery. It gives me enough power and I don't feel like I am walking down the road with a Bazooka in my hand when out. This is where my joy ends though :(
I tried cartomizers to start and there were a lot of plus points some of which being,,, good flavour, small, no leaking etc.
Bad points were that i needed a tool to get the end cap off. Can only be used a handful of time (or so I found), didn't store much juice.
I then moved onto various Ego T's until I got to the Ego C type B. I thought I had found my ideal set up. This was due to.... The tank held nearly 2mls, It was easy to access the tank and fill without a needle etc and I could replace the Atomizer head without having to buy a new body etc for it (thus making the Ego C cost effective.
As you have probably guessed, my love for these didn't last. Main problem is leaking. It is doing my head in and also costing me a small fortune as the juice leaks down to nothing in about an hour with moderate vaping! I also find it numbs the taste a bit compared to the Cartomizers.
So what I am ideally looking for is something similar that works, I mean we put a man on the moon, you think we could get this sorted ;)
Oh I should mention that I am not a dripper, one of the reasons I liked the type B tanks was because it held 2ml and I could carry a back up one if needed. I am one of those people who wants a car to drive, not to tinker with it :)
Anyway guys, like I said, I am at my wits end, any help would be much appreciated!!!!

Hi, Memento. Welcome to the vaping community. Congratulations on quitting the analogs. Well, I thought I'd mention what I have found recently that seem to work well on my KGO and they do not leak at all and they hold 3.5 ml of juice, but you do have to fill them with a syringe. But I can take one or two of them filled with juice and I'm all set. What day is it
Cant' you use one of the "mega" sized cartos on any eGo? That should take care of any leaking problems and they hold a ton.

I think if you get over the "cone" thing, or get one of the bigger hole cones, you just need to try different cartos. Regular carto tanks look goofy on an eGo battery, but there are lots of larger capacity cartos and clearos out there. Maybe the Stardust? They have their fans and hold a couple mls. Assuming you want to stick with your present battery, you have a lot of experimenting ahead of you. There are a lot of devices that fit an eGo, even more if you use an adapter and forego the cone thing.

Seems like you want the carto experience with some capacity. I'd probably suggest looking at some sort of carto tank. Depending on your budget, you may have options and you may not.

Going the cheap route, you have Smoktech Dual Coil Carto Tanks, which quite a few people swear by. I don't like the dual coil cartos and slot my own Boge cartos (smoktech cartos flood for me), but if you don't have a way to slot or punch cartos you'll have to buy pre punched cartos. Also cheap, the mom and pop sub and mini-sub tanks. You pretty much have to fill either with a syringe though, but capacity is pretty high on them (3.5ml and 5ml if I remember right). Other than those, you're looking at about $25 U.S. plus shipping for a decent plastic type tank, $40+ U.S. if you're looking for glass or stainless steel.

I swear by carto tanks. Flavor is always there and I hardly ever have leaking/flooding problems...but I've done my share of flooding cartos to learn how to do it in a way that works for me without flooding them, so there is a learning curve there.

My motto: Nothing worth doing is ever easy and seldom cheap. Just remember how much you were spending on smokes, and realize that your costs will taper off as you find what works for you.

Good luck in your search.

Hi there Memento21:)
....I have an Ego T...and I had a few problems in the beginning...however...the cheap and durable (mine lasts 3 weeks)
Dual Coils Cartomizer from Smoktech...Is great....big vapor...and it holds 5 ml :) Enough to last the day.
Only thing you must observe using this.....when filling which is easy, you can do it right frm the bottle....you schould not pour in the liquid all at once....do it in two or more sessions....put the cartomizer on a piece of paper towel...let it rest for awhile, then before use...blow into it...so as to get any excess liquid out of the mddle hole:).....then you are good to e...GO:)

Thank you everyone for the fast replies. Couldn't quite believe I got a response so quick :)
Ok, thanks to your guys suggestions, I think you guys kind of suggested what I was thinking in the back of my mind anyway (that I should prob go back to cartomizers).
Now that I have established that, could you guys please answer a few questions about cartomizers in general.
What is the easiest and most convenient LR ones I could get that hold 2ml or over.
What is so good a Boge ones. People always seem to rave about them but what is the big difference?
If I have to use a syringe then fair enough but I would like to avoid it if possible.
Can you tell me a bit more about the smoktech dct? How would you say it compares to the Boges?

"Ditch the tank and get yourself a cartomizer" oh I see you already have har har!

But seriously, I second the recommendation for the Stardust. Very reliable, fuss-free and you don't have to fiddle with your equipment

In the UK Stardusts are called Vision Egos and you can get them from Liberty Flights or UK-Eliquid for under a fiver with discount code.

I haven't used bogey yet, I'm new to vaping but ill get there soon. As for the dct its easy to fill, you can use your bottle that your juice comes in. I will say this, the carts that come with the doctor have a flange on the bottom where the 510 connection is that makes it where the tank can't slip off when say like you pull your drip tip off. But ill let you know soon how bogey carts are.

Just keep in mind if you go with the dual coil cartomizers and a tank, you need to use 70/30 PG/VG liquid otherwise they tend to not wick well. I've had problems with them even though I know most people love them. I also do like the Vision or Stardust Clearomizers that are cone-shaped, and you can just pour the juice in them from a bottle and do not need a syringe. They hold 1.6 mls of juice and last about 3 weeks. In the U.S. you can get them at Madvapes, Gotvapes, Sweet-Vapes and many other sites.

Thanks for answering most of my questions before I even asked them ;)

Hi :)

I am using Vision Ego Clearomisers on a 900 mah ego battery atm. I have to say they are great, so far been using the same one for two weeks solid without cleaning and it is still going strong. The are easy to fill, you quite literally just pour in the juice down the side oh and they don't leak. I have even had one loose in my pocket and it hasn't leaked. If you go to vapeescape they also have them in a variety of resistance but so far i am quite happy with the standard resistance.

happy vaping :vapor:

DCT's don't have to "look goofy" on an ego battery. For as little as $1.49 you can get a small chrome ring that covers the exposed threads. If you look around enough, there are even some in black and a few different syles.

Vision Clearomizer is another good suggestion. Both are leak and hassle free.

Not sure yet what kind of life span the clearomizer has, just got them 4 days ago. They do need to be cleaned and dried like every other day and of course refilled much more often than the DCT. They don't seem to hit very well though once you get below like 1/3 of the juice. Which makes me have to fill them even more often.

The cartomizer in my DCT has been going for over 3 weeks now with nothing more than topping it off once in a while.

Not a huge overall size difference, one's just a little less "elegant" LOL:

Thank you everyone for your posts. I have gone from wanting to smoke 40 cigs due to the stress of the Type B, to seeing light at the end of tunnel ;)
I think I will invest in both options but will start with the vision first. Does anyone know a good place to buy them cheap?
I see that Liberty Flights do them for £5.29 +£1.49 for shipping and safercig co.uk do them for £5.20 (I don't know how much the postage is as it didn't let me get that far without registering).
Also, does anyone know any promo codes for this item at a site?
Thanks again guys :)
