Drip Tip Confusion

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I am a noob. I have been watching videos trying to learn. They show you people dripping directly into the mouthpiece hole in drip tips. But they tell you when filling to just wet the fiber fill stuff and not to get anything in the center hole. How do you not do that if you are dripping directly into the drip tip? I am using the halo g6 setup.

Are you talking about cartomizers or dripping atomizers?

To fill a cartomizer, you need to take off the end cap and drip into the filler--not into the air tube. So yes, you're correct.

On the other hand, if you're watching videos of people dripping onto atomizers (no filler, just the heating coil), that can be done through the drip it, even though I don't do it that way myself.

i would just take the drip tip off when filling a carto. it just seems like the best idea. i drip down the drip tip when im using DDAs (direct drip atomizer).
most of the time i just drip through the air hole on my DDAs

Not sure what the connector type is for the Halo battery. If it is 510 thread, yes they do. It also might be 808 thread so then maybe not.

G6 comes with a native kr808D-1 connection, so no, you can't use any of the atties recommended above without an adapter, and I'm not do not very fond of using adapters for dripping...

I have no idea what is currently available, but I used to have a 901 threaded atomizer when I was using kr808 ecigs, but it wasn't a happy experience. I suggest you stay with cartomizers/clearomizers for your G6 setup.

i THINK the G6 battery is 808 threaded and automatic so its not sealed. that means you risk getting fluid into the battery and causing issues when dripping. i see some videos on how to convert a standard 808 carto into a dripper i have never done it my self and dont plan on doing so any time soon. these tanks might be something you should look into. Shop around a bit you might find a better deal on the mini tanks on another website.

Thanks you guys!!! You gave me the definitive answers I needed. I will forget about direct drip atomizers until I am ready to get one of the big vaping devices. I have a lot to learn before I decide which one of those to get. At least these g6 are not too expensive for entry level, and I don't feel funny using them in public. I did get those mini tanks, and they are way better than the poly filled cartidges. The couple drip tips I got do fit the cartridges, but I guess they are not meant for dripping in them, just a mouth piece. You guys are great and the help here is so nice to get!

Yeah, it's a bit of a misnomer--the things we call drip tips are mostly just mouthpieces. They used to serve as drip tips, years ago, but that's a different story.

both should cost you under $30
the coils are like $2.50 each and can be recoiled and wicked if your into such a thing. my cost to rebuild an EVOD coil is around $0.50 and takes about 10 minutes. coils last me about 3 days under heavy use.

suggested new hardware... the eGo battery and EVOD tank will work together.

I believe that the "best" dripping atomizer for beginners is the Joyetech 2.2 atomizer because it's not too LR, safe to use on all eGo-class batteries and relatively user-friendly. They are not easy to find; most vendors sell LR 1.5Ω joye atties (which are also good, BTW).

There are many great atties, like the Cisco that Bad mentioned, or some of the atties that IkenVape sells, but they are for the more advanced user, at least IMO.
