SID Fire Button Flaky

I have a 2 month old SID and the fire button is flaky. Press it, nothing. Press again, wiggle left toe, works. Seriously, it is not reliable and I'm hoping that some contact cleaner or other method will work to fix it. I really don't want to buy another after only 2 months.

Ideas?

Mine does the same thing,makes me not use it that often.Though I love the way it feels, nice texture.

Yep, I like everything about it.

I've had a sid for two weeks that came as a replacement for a svd with a wonky fire button. It's ok so far fire button wise, but half the time when I set it on a table it cuts the power and I have to turn it back on. Ugggh

mine is the same same.I do get a few other quirks also.I take a vape at say 3.5 volts and the next one is at 5+ volts.I also get no OLED light then it appears again magically.I'm tryin to find a way to get inside the head to clean it.I am sure my dropping it and the cartos filling it with juice didn't help much.I probably have two days worth of juice in it.I did put a #60 O ring in it after the fact.Cured the 510 contact to carto problem.Wish there was a way to open it up to get inside,probably press fit.If I figure it out and find a fix for the button I'll get back here.Just started thinkin on it tonight.I do have a new SID so I'll experiment with the older one

Seems these are kinda flaky in general then.
Too bad, it has potential.
I got this because of the issues with other units I saw in reviews. This one, didn't find any.

This hobby needs to have a 'Zippo'. Nothing fancy, just work under all conditions.

maybe (head and shoulders) helps with the flaky, but you could try a zippo

Ok, I just filled the AeroTank with Head and Shoulders, then heated it with an my old Zippo.
Big clouds, crazy TH, but it seems to clog after only one hit.

Fixed it.
Just bought a Sigelei 20W at my local vape shop.
Working great, looks like a quality unit!

I just put my SID with aspire nautilus on the shelf because it was not reliable. I had to knurl the battery cap with a pair if pliers just so I could change the battery if I was out and about when the battery died.

the Sid body tube also unscrews rite under the fire button, you can change the battery that way if you want...my bottom batt cap is very tight also......mine is still working correctly (for now).

It does..........It's called a Vamo (personal preference of course), or a Nzonic. I have dropped my vamo too many times, once even into my dogs water dish.....still vaping like a champ.
