The Very Best Thing I have noticed is that vaping encourages curious people to engage me in conversation about what I'm doing. When I started 3 yrs ago, there was a lot of curiosity and I talked to people from all over the world about it (and hopefully made some converts). Now, with more vapers around, it's more of a "whatta ya got there?" kind of discussion. Still a great way to meet people!

I'm actually losing weight while I'm quitting smoking. All the delicious flavors have cut my junk food snacking by at least 75%...and I was a bad snacker with a wicked sweet tooth.
Others have mentioned driving with the windows closed, it dawned on me I have not had the ash marks on clothing from ashes blowing back in on me. 
I now know more about tinkering and technical stuff. Ohms and resistance never consciously mattered to my life before.
Also, there's this good thing about not being satisfied (the financial part is another story, though) and constantly searching for something better. Kinda makes me quote Tool, rather inaccurately, but you get the drift:

My wife keeps asking me if I bought something new. Hey, that looks different than the other ones!!! I just tell her they are batteries for the e-cig. She just gives me that look. If she knew how much I've been spending, well, she knows I go overboard on things, she would send me to a psychiatrist for help.

My wife actually decided to get a kit after trying mine out of curiosity. I started with an eGo-t topped with some clearo's and I got Red Box juice to start off with at 24mg since I'm a newly reformed smoker. She has never smoked cigarettes before but seems to like vaping. I told her not to puff it too much lest she develop a nicotine addiction. She's going to get a kit and vape 0mg juices. She loves the smell of the Red Box even though I have yet to buy or use a sweet-based juice.
