So I just started vaping with this 2 weeks ago. Now, my mod wont fire at all. I tried my 2 batteries fully charged, and nothing. Then I went out and bought another battery and charged it, and it still won't heat up my coils. I used 99% rubbing alchhol to clean the 510 threads and on my Nimbus clone rda, still nothing. Did I fry anything? Or did the nimbus fail in some way? I was using the same coil build the last 2 days before it wouldn't fire. When I noticed that, I thought I screwed up the coil connection in the rda and remade coils but still, wouldn't fire.

Second question, if I did fry it, can I go out and buy something cheap like an itaste vv3.0 and vape with the nimbus?

Hello and welcome!:)

Put your Nimbus on your ohm reader. What does it read?
With a multimeter at the lowest ohm setting, I'm getting 0.3 ohms on the positive and negative posts, and 0.7 when I put the pegs on the coils themselves. Currently using it in dual coil mode.

When you say you "remade" the coils, do you mean you made more coils or just checked the connection on those? Just from what you're saying it sounds like you might've popped your coil. Have you installed a new coil or do you have one?
I wrapped numerous new coils, installed them and tried to fire it, both dual and single

It just sounds like something somewhere isn't making contact. First thing to check, make sure the contact in the 510 connection is actually making contact with the contact on the bottom of your nimbus.

Mechanical mods and RDA's are all clockwork, mechanics. If there's a problem, it can't be to far away or take too many resources.

you can pick up a 510 to 510 adaptor and try that, but it's going to be ugly. Honestly sounds like a positive pin problem on either the nimbus or your mod. With a mechanical mod you either have connectivity or you don't. I'd push the postive post out of the nimbus and check both your insulators, after you verify they are both in good shape, reinstall it, but leave it protruding a bit further and see if it will fire then.

Edited to add: The reason to check is if you are building your coils too close to the posts you can actually melt the insulators, which might cause the pin to sink in further than it should have. When building coils, don't go for super close to the posts, getting it out towards the air vents is better for the atomizers long term health. With the coils uninstalled you should be able to push down on the positive post and pop it right out of the bottom of the RDA.

I don't think my coils were ever close, I had them out right next to my airholes. I tried pushing the middle post down, but it won't budge at all. I ordered the 510 to 510 adapter/extender and I'll see if that will work.

So I haven't received the adapter yet, but I have received the an ohm tester where you screw in the rda. It's reading the ohms just fine, so does this mean that the rda is not the problem? In the smok magnetic sidewinder I can't do much with the 510 connection besides push it out a bit with a tiny screwdriver but that didn't do anything. There is wires connecting to the 510 pin, and they look ok. Is there a way to check to see if the pin is getting any power to it?

If there's wires leading to the 510 connection those wires usually have an amp limit and it's usually low. At .3 you definitely would have surpassed it. You might have fried those wires thus not pushing power to the 510

^^^ That. Since you have a meter drop a battery in your mod, hit the fire button and check for voltage at the 510 connector. If there's no voltage you may have fried the wiring to the point it popped open.
