I just bought a sigelei 100 watt box mod but the thing is im using 1 set of 2 different batteries. 1 sony vtc4 30 amp battery and 1 mxjo 35 amp battery. I was told to get another mxjo battery to be safe. At the momet I don't wish to buy another battery but If I have to I will. So I wanted to ask this question to other people. Is it really dangerous to use 1 set of two different batteries on a 100 watt mod? If so, What makes it dangerous? Is it possible it can explode? I'm vaping at 49 watts just to be safe for now.

The risk is one discharging faster than the other causing all the load to fall on one battery. When voyage of the battery drops so does its amp limit.. It is recommended to run a NEW matched set paired for life for the best safety.

If you use two different types you really need to have a multimeter to test the voltage values off the charger and when they are run down. *regularly to watch for differences climbing... If the mod low volts on you and you have one that is 3.6 and one that's 3.2 you have a major problem. I have been stacking in regulated mods for some time and I recommend a .02-.05 differential at mod cut off with a absolute max of .1 for confident safety.

Or one at 3.2 and one at 3.3 or more means one is weaker than the other and it's no longer recommended to run them paired... .02 differential is preferred.

So if you test it and monitor a couple times weekly or more you can get by till you invest in a new set.
