im currently all mech. i have 10 of em. love em. but i just preordered the new design of the sig100. i used my buddys v1 sig100 and it was so good i decided to get one. but now im afraid i wont use my beloved mechs anymore.

did anyone go through something similar? going from all-mech to a high watt box mod....did it effectively make your mechs second class PVs, or do you still use them regularly?

I still use my mechs regularly. In fact, I use my mechs more than my sigelei. It's not that I don't like the Sigelei, because I do. I have several diffeent attys with different juices going at the same time so I don't want to keep screwing and unscrewing attys in order to run them all on the Sigelei. Besides, I can't say that I get a better vape with the Sigelei than I do with the mechs.

Yes.

Here's how it went for me. Got into vaping with the cig-a-likes. Dumped the cig-a-likes for a VAMO, followed by both an SVD and MVP2. Stopped using those mods in favor of mechs to get at the higher watts and cleaner output. Picked up a Cloupor Cana for the heck of it last month and ended up giving away all my older vv/vw mods and a bunch of my mechs (don't believe in keeping stuff I'm not using, especially when friends want to get into vaping). Now I've basically got the Cana which I use almost exclusively and a beloved Panzer clone as backup.

It's not the quality of the vape is somehow more amazing--it's rather that I love getting onsistent output like my mechs paired with the convenience of usb charging. My work keeps me moving around throughout the day so I'm usually vaping an RTA on my Cana for convenience.

I don't think I'd want one of these multi-battery box mods that I couldn't plug into a USB port at this point. My next purchase will be something like the Sigelei 50w v2 as I vape mostly on RTAs.

I'll still use my Panzer topped with RDAs at home--but I'm almost never at home.

I still use all my mods, regardless of regulated/unregulated but that is mostly because I have to keep taking something new to work everyday{Moderated} and have to promote everything...What is nice about regulated is you never get a weak hit although I would really miss my mech mods if I ever got rid of them, so....short answer, no I still use everything lol

I won't say that I will no longer use them as they are still new to me but this is how it went with me. I'm still new to vaping and only around two and half months into it. First VV/VW I bought was the MVP 2.0 and liked it, so I got a VAMO V6 Liked it, then a Sigelei 100 W Box liked it, then a DNA 30 Clone Liked it and tonight I picked up a used ProVari Zombie and so far I like it. Along the way I bought two Mech Mods and another on the way (all clones) but don't seem to have the art of using them down and then having to fiddle with them to make them work hasn’t been any fun.

So the search for the perfect Personal Vaporizer continues be it Mech or VV/VW:)

I have been a mechanical vaper almost since I started vaping. I had a Provari for a little while which was my first "real" mod, but I quickly sold it for a mech. I recently got a Vaporshark rDNA 30 which is great, but it didn't take the place of my mechanicals...

But Just a few weeks ago, my world was turned upside down when I bought a 120 watt Raptor Box. All of a sudden I have a box that I can run my RDA's on. And not only that, but I can crank the voltage up to 6 volts; something you can't do with a mech!! I can honestly say that the Raptor Box has put my mechanical mods on the back burner for right now; it really is that good!! It's not a Sigelei 100w, but same idea.... :)

I don't think I will ever sell my mechanicals though....I love them too much to let go!!

I dont know why i am in the opposite side of the spectrum here but I have owned a sigelei 100w since they first came out like 2 months ago. I was one of the extremely early adopters.

I used it for a solid 1 1/2 month and came to realize that box mods are not for me....at least not yet. Yes its nice have 100w at your disposal and a OLED screen to tell you your battery info as well as huge amounts of battery life. But honestly as I used the box mod I just kept thinking about my mech mods.

I think its due to the fact that I was so OCD about polishing and maintaining the metals on my mech mods that once i moved to a sigelei 100 I kind of missed that sort of ritual with my mech mods.

Not to mention, mech mods are just simply elegant. WIth atomizers being flush and matching metals and finishes I really liked that type of min / max attitude specifically trying to find ways to minimize voltage drop and boost performance. IE.... copper tape, noalox, etc.

The sigelei feels cheap to me especially when compared to a thick tubed heavy mech mod with an awesome switch.

I suppose its not fair really because obviously these sigelei boxes are mass produced and cheap for what they are. There is just something about them that made me keep thinking about my mechs.

Maybe i should try one of those 200$+ designer box mods.
