Hey, I'm pretty new to vaping, only like 4 months into it..I have a Sigelei 150 and I love it!! I just went to fire it up and on the display the word 'short!' came up..ugh!! Anyways I noticed the batteries were only at 18%, I've run it this low b4 & never had this come up on the display..I changed the batteries & it seems fine..I'm just wondering has anyone else had thus come up on their display?.. I'm hoping it's just 1 of the batteries is no good and I'm not putting those back in..

heya cindie - and welcome!

are you using married (paired) battery sets with your sig? i generally don't get much below about 30% before mine tells me to kick rocks and give it fresh ones, lol - but i tend to use it with some lower ohm (.2-.4 ohm) builds on drippers

also, what kind of batteries are they and what are you running on it (dripper? tank? what kind of build?)

Yes I'm using purple efest batteries..I have 4 of them, I always use the same 2 together..I always use tanks, usually my Herakles or Triton but I just got the Hydra and was using that wen 'short!' came on the display..Since I've changed the batteries it hasn't come up again..thankfully ..I'm really hoping it was the batteries, I threw them away I'm afraid to put them back in..

It's not your batteries.

I've never seen that message with mine. I thought it might be the way the mod tells you the atty resistance is too low so I made a quick 0.07 ohm build and tried that. The mod reported 'Low Resistance'. Tried it at 0.04 ohms and got the same message. Without an atty on it it says 'Check Atomizer'.

My bet is there is a short in the mod itself. In case you're unfamiliar with what a short is, here's a good explanation.

If it's under shop warranty I would talk to the shop you bought it from. If not, Sigelei has a three month warranty on the 150. Here's their web page on it.

OTOH, maybe someone else has seen this before and knows a fix. I have not heard of it before.

Good luck with it!

The 18650...they say IMR 18650

The 18650 is the only size that will work in your power device.
There are other identifying markings on the battery wrap such as, 2100mah xx amp, 2500mah xx amp.
If you're using an efest marked as 20 amp and it is actually a 6.8 amp it can cause wonky performance and trigger random warning messages. (depending on power range/setting used)
