I personally never charge any of my devices through the USB port if I am able to pull the batteries out and charge them through a regular charger.

So having those screws there can be annoying. I own the sigelei 150W and when I was using a friend's Smaug V1 150W box mod, which can be charged via the USB port, I absolutely hated swapping out my batteries just because of the screws. But that's just my personal experience and preferences lol

Why don't you like the USB charging? Seems like a lot of unnecessary hassle to constantly remove and replace the batteries when plugging in a cable charges just as well and let's you continue to use the mod while charging.

I just took the batteries out of my Sigelei for the first time to recharge them (haven't had a chance to use it much) the battery meter was reading around 55%. I put the batteries in my charger which is an Efest LUC V4, one battery read 4.2v and the other 3.6v? They are VTC4's I purchased from RTD Vapor, were brand new when i put them in my Sigelei.. i "think" the one that read 4.2v was in the second bay of the Sigelei that faces down. So basically it only used one battery? I'm going to start numbering them..

One reason to remove and replace the batteries is so that you can rotate them, i.e. switch their position in the mod battery tray. It's possible that one battery may discharge more rapidly than the other, depending on their position in the battery tray. So rotating them helps to even up battery wear. Helps to extend overall battery life.

Also, no idea if a mod's usb charging has charging cut-off when the batteries are full, or if it keeps charging. That can affect battery health, as well. Don't get me wrong, if I'm traveling, I would totally use the usb charge port for convenience, but at home I use external chargers for my batteries. Not that much of a hassle if I'm just sitting around the house vaping.:)

It's very possible that the batteries will discharge at different rates. That's why for mods with 2+ batteries, it's recommended to number or letter your batteries and rotate them between charges.
