Hey all! Thanks for taking a second to read and maybe (hopefully) give me some pointers on my new box mod.

I've been back and froth on quitting smoking for a while ... I've been trying to use Kanger tanks on VV Vision 2 rechargeable and just have not been satisfied enough with them as alternatives. I've gone ahead and gotten a box mod now and am using a Herakles Sense tank. Currently, the coils are 1.8 ohms (reading 1.89 on the Sigelei). I have 0.6 ohm coils on the way.

What I'm asking you all for is help and advice on quitting smoking. How do I get good consistent vapes that will replace my craving for the nicotine in those old analog cigarettes?

I'm using 12 mg juice that I like. I've, finally, found some juices that I really enjoy. I've got a couple Kanger tanks (Kanger II and the Aero) that are gonna be my back-ups or portables.

Suggestions on coils and ohms? Wattage that I should set the mod at? Maybe another tank to use with the box mod that has coils that will last as long as the Herakles (man, I'm getting about 5-7 days out of these coils). Kangers used to last only 3-4 days and then really just not perform.

Cheers

Congrats on working on giving up the cigs. Most all of us know how hard it was or is to do. My first advise is drink plenty of water. It will help not get vapors tongue and dehydration and will clean up your body.. What flavors do you like? Tobacco, fruit etc. Vaping is a lot of personal preference as far as watts and ohms. I have the same mod as you and went with the smok TFV4 full tank. It has a lot of different coils that can be used in it. You will get full flavor and lots of vapor. The draw back to get that you go through a lot of juice. It is still way cheaper than smoking and your health is worth it. The crown is another good tank but for me not as good as the smok and not as many coils and rba's. All I can say is stick with not smoking it takes a while but gets easier. My cravings sometimes show up but not as often and don't last as long. I know it is tough you need the right mind set. Just never pick up a cig. Keep us updated

Good advice Mrdaputer. I would chime in with the way I choose my wattage is as follows ( and I by no means am an expert ). I use Ohm's law to figure out what the safe wattage will be, then I start low and bump up the wattage until I get to a real good flavor. By this I mean I will start at say three amps (using Ohm's Law) try to vape, if I get vapor that is satisfying try that wattage for about two or three puffs then go up an amp at a time until I get the flavor and vapor production that I like. Each interval is for about three vapes and then up a little, three vapes and up.... Ofcourse the "try to vape" part is because on most sub-ohm setups you won't get vapor at three amps.

I hope that helps. Go online and search Ohm's Law, study it until you're comfortable using it (it's actually realy easy to do), and then go from there. I build alot of my own coils, but I promise there are a plethora of good coils heads and tanks on the market ( I just realy enjoy the challenge of making and then mounting these frustrating inventions, oh and the "coil porn" don't get me started LOL ).

So Vape Safe:thumb: and Vape Happy :headbang:
