The Pit of Despair
That #20 looks pretty solid. I like the brass pin, the screw-in 510 connector should be easy to grind flat, and the switch locks. It didn't look like it locked in the early pictures. I just wonder if they're still relying on that 'split post' switch design, and how many little parts are in the switch, like the Dingo/Roller. I wanted a roller but avoided it due to nightmare stories of tiny ball-bearings and myriad switch parts that need cleaning periodically.

I wish they wouldn't use a bottom spring in a telescoping mod. It looks thick to be a hotspring. Looks like stainless. Should be very easy to mod, though

I modded my sigelei #8 with a piece of sterling silver tubing that's soldered to a sterling disc and then press fit into the bottom connector:

something i picked up from my father. basically the more you sand, the more you break up the sugar, the finer the grain. do it slow enough and it wont damage the metal. as long as its not a polished surface it should blend right in. i should add that the picture wasnt taken by me but by the coop runner who received them yesterday. i should have these in my hands by tuesday-ish and i'll put up some before and after pics. hopefully the 510 can be sanded down too so i can make them flush.

I posted earlier about the switch in my #8 falling apart. Well, I reassembled it and used some thread lock to hold it all together. It worked perfectly but I guess I threaded it in just a tiny bit further than it was originally, so the switch is having trouble making a solid connection with the post when the button is pressed. Any suggestions on something I can use to extend the contact a little bit? It seems like there has to be a conductive tape or magnet or something I can use to make a solid contact with the post. I'm getting a lot of misfires now and it's super frustrating.

Does anyone know if the Sigelei #20 in 18350 mode will be the same size/height as the "Dingo"? I am looking for the absolute shortest 18350 mechanical mod available and since I can't seem to get my hands on a Dingo, I am hoping this one does the trick

Thanks

I doubt it, even the roller is longer than the dingo.

I don't have a Dingo, thus don't know about it, however with everything else - the GP Paps AFAIK seems the 'shortest' in 18350 mode. And is bloody good!

how big is the dingo?
my curves mod is just a hair shorter than 2 3/8" when in locked 18350 mode.
