I'd absolutely love to be well versed on these things Rader, but I'm a tad new to the mech scene. Yes, I have plans to experiment with low ohm coils, but no I don't want to blow any body parts off. I'd be curious to know as much as possible, if you'd kindly direct me to the topics that should be of interest and usefulness? iGoogle, but I'm not exactly sure what I should be searching for..

Battery University is a good start. Very good knowledge for the beginner. Some things should be taken with a grain salt though. They like to paint with broad strokes and some of the details don't always apply to e-cig use or a particular type of battery.

I wish I had more resources of knowledge, but most everything I know is an accumulation of things learned through the years. Some people read novels for enjoyment, I find something that interests me and research until my eyes bleed. Electronics and batteries happen to be one of those things.

One of the best resources is, of course, this forum. The general consensus of the community is often (with a few exceptions) the correct consensus. The answer is only a question away.

#19 just went live at vaportek usa.

The switch looks pretty damn good.

Stainless and brass end caps! Would someone please tell me the advantage of a magnetic switch? I'm very tempted to go after one of these.... looks well made anyway!

Magnets as opposed to springs the concept being that the magnetic switches will last longer than the spring activated ones. Also they are cool and magical. :D as far as batteries go my experience so far has been that if a manufacturer says don't stack them well you don't. ICR vs IMR one may have a safer chemistry than the other but both could fail. Just use common sense like don't pocket your mod with an atty attached, don't store your batteries in a metal container or pocket full of change. And seriously if your mod feels hot take out the damned battery and check it out. Always inspect the battery wrappings before use for gouges that could expose metals. Learn to use a multi meter. Read and then read some more before attempting any modding of any kind.

I went ahead and ordered a Sig19 from exhale since they're selling their mechs for near co-op prices. Thanks for the heads up everyone!

I went ghetto style and just wrapped a paperclip around the button to shorten the throw, I'll get washers when I go to Home Depot, mine is the 13, did someone say that cup thingie (batt contact post) can be sanded down to reveal brass?

Home Depot (at least the ones in my area) don't carry small enough washers, their smallest ones I've found were a #6 SAE washer.

cut them and re-shape, or use a thick paperclip like i did haha, but i think you'll find the washers easier.
