Ok, I finished my project. It works with my AGA-T+'s. For the RSST I will either have to screw the pos post down further or make a plastic or rubber isolator to cover the neg connection.

Ok so I have read through pretty much the whole thread and most of the last 100 pages are on the 19 and 20. I have kind of forgotten the hot setup on the 8 and just do not have it in me to go back and start over. If I recall correctly, sand the top connector, sand the button connector pin and the bottom connector all down to brass. Replace the bottom spring with a brass flat top screw/bolt. Naolox the crap out of all threads and connectors. Is that it? I can't recall if I leave the spring in with the screw or out.

Mine has all but the brass screw done and I am still getting a .48v drop off using a freshly charged AW IMR 18650 2000mah on a 1.3ohm coil 30awg Ka1. The spring really is that crappy huh?

Can anyone confirm if I missed anything or correct my memory if I am wrong?

The spring IS that crappy. You can do a quick fix to get rid of it until a more permanent mod can be done...

A short time after than post I used a white silicon plug from a cartomizer to fill the gap at the threads and prevent unwanted movement. You'll have to trim the excess silicon off to match the diameter of the spring cup or else the switch pin wont make contact.

i started watching this thread at pg.37 and now its at pg.157 and growing... there's alot of solid details on how to mod each sigelei. as this thread gets bigger and more ppl join, inevitably re-reading and searching through the pgs can be disheartening. can we make a sticky thread link showing what does what...

If you change your settings like me, you only see 38 pages lol But I agree, something like that would be nice.

Is it definitely the #8 it is not telescopic, it comes with 2 tubes is that correct, and does it need modding and is it all stainless steel, sorry for all the questions, but this is the first we have seen available in the uk :)

The top and bottom caps are chrome plated brass. All I did to mine is sand the contacts. A lot of people have replaced the spring with a brass bolt, but I have not done that yet and I like it just fine.

ETA:: yes it has an 18350 tube and an 18650 tube.
