Beautiful! It certainly LOOKS like it cost $100+!

I'm actually investigating a good, inexpensive metal *etching* kit. I know you can do it DIY, just trying to find a cheap source/method of coming up with consistently good/re-usable stencils.

I ordered one at fasttech: Engrave-It Compact Personal Engraving Tool:)

Awesome, can you explain the process?

Its not actually mine, its someone else's from another forum I am a member of. Here is the speel though.....

Popped into B&Q and got some assorted cloth back abrasive (60/80/120) & some fine wet & dry (180/220) . Took about 1/2 hour rubbing down on a flat surface using the different grades and finished off with some Pech metal polish .

Yes , I just placed the clothed back abrasive on the kitchen top and sanded away , the well is deep & the 510 connector is quite long so there's plenty to play with , a liitle bit of elbow grease needed but it was a relatively easy job , the fine wet & dry finishes the job off nicely to a high sheen .

So very convenient!

Not 100% certain here: I dont believe Exhale ever stated that the switch was mechanical or magnetic. They offered it for pre-order with out a description. Due to a situation with Sigelie on this model (specific reason unknown), my understanding is that Exhale has offered to refund customers or wait and take delivery of what ever they send to Exhale in about two weeks.

This is true, Abe never put that it was a magnetic button on his site. I don't blame any vendors. I am blaming Sigelei but like I said, I think it was just lost in translation. I am still getting it no matter what. It looks like a solid mod for the money.

Arent they neodymium magnets?

I googled it and neodymium are rare earth magnets. My bad

I dont know much about this stuff yet but, couldnt you make it into a magnetic switch by taking out spring and putting a magnet with matching polarity? Just like in the video but have it so the poles are facing each other and are pushing each other rather than pulling. As far as I know thats how the magnetic switches work. I'm sure there is more to it than that though.

Thanks to this thread I have determined I have a #13a wearing my Igo-L, and a NON-MAGNETIC switch #19 on the way. I'm not at all too miffed about it, because I really wanted it for the bottom button and the sleek look.

The flat top from my current #13 might just end up on the #19 ... Why do they even make beveled tops anymore?

Now I just have to decide what rba to buy for the #19. AGI? Phoenix v4? RSST? I have a couple weeks before it gets here anyway.

The #8 is sleeker looking IMHO.
