I'm interested in any responses because I've been looking at the TMax too.

Nothing against the MVP - evidently it's a fine machine - but the fact that the battery is non-replaceable has kept me from pulling the trigger on it. (I'm quirky that way, the thought of trying throwing something away just because the battery is worn out bothers me. Anyway...)

So the TMax has replaceable batteries, which I like. Evidently it's fairly big/heavy which is not surprising since it holds both an 18650 *and* an 18350. The weight doesn't bother me, I like the thought of having an extra (backup) battery right on board. And did I mention that it comes in pretty colors. :)

The only thing holding me back are the reviews I've seen (which haven't been so great). I think it's a wonderful concept.

Edit to correct wrong word...

the mvp v2 battery last forever and day charging mine only twice a week at the moment and i use this at work and home. Plus its not much more expensive than a couple of 18650 bats when you take the price of an iclear 30 off it as you get one with it.I paid £42 for mine 18650 batts are £10 each in the uk charger about £15 and the iclear is £9 so its a good cheap option plus it charges your phone iPod or whatever so it really is the best option i think lot of features for little money

The pre-production TMax certainly had its issues: Review: The Sigelei TMax - Vape Squad

Perhaps the most telling review is the one PBusardo did. His verdict: :nah:

I just got a TMAX a week ago and its not quite what I was hoping for. It works and looks cool, but it drawls on the batteries too hard. When I compare it to my VAMO I can tell a big difference in how they hit. The VAMO seems to have more power getting to the coils on a carto/clearomizer then the TMAX. I guess the circuitry is different and therefor handles the pull on the batts differently. I don't think the unit is faulty, I just think it doesn't work as well as other Mods. If I would have known this before I would not have bought it. Maybe it needs fresh new batteries to run better. Not sure. So far I prefer my VAMO.
