I googled and advanced searched the title ^ seperately but didn't find anything about this eventhough I've read the idea a few times.
1) It seems easy, but are the right batteries available?

2) if it's not possible or can't get the batteries, are the circuit boards worth anything to custom MOD builders? I guess they might still be usable if the availabel batteries that will work with them won't fit in the MVP/Groove cases?

I don't like throwing away a unit when the batter's reached it's max recharges. I'm deciding between a groove/mvp which I like the simplicity of just plugging in a usb and not dealing with batteries and big battery chargers, but might get something like a VV Gripper Box or Tmax box which should last much longer than the life span of the rechargeable batteries I'll use with it.

Sure, it's theoretically possible. After all, somebody put it together, so somebody ought to be able to take it apart.

Might even be able to craft a battery holder to slide back into the case, modify the base plate for easy battery changeout... probably not get the same use on a charge, since the holder would be taking up some space, but that's not a deal breaker with changeable battery mods.

As long as the new battery voltage was the same as the original, the electronics should function normally.

Now if I can only remember this in a couple years when mine dies :w00t:
