Yep, that's right. I let a friend check it out, he thought there was something on the screen and took it upon himself to scratch it till it came off, leaving me with a surface-scartched screen.. I contacted Vaporheads where I bought it, and they are yet to return my email 4 days later. Anyone have any experience with this, or any ideas how I can remove these scratches?

If you can take it off again, some auto parts stores have convertible-window repair kits. They should work to smooth out the scratches and make it clear again. (It basically melts the plastic and reflows it..) Test carefully since it might also make it worse, but chances are if it doesn't work (wrong type of plastic, etc) it'll just leave it the same way it started.

Alternately (and I haven't tried this so..) the plastic headlight unfogger might do it.

Do I see a market for mod screen protectors just like for phones? Maybe they should use Gorilla Glass. Lol.

I hate scratches on my stuff too.

I was just reading this thread and looked around and found a screen protector lying around.

Cut a small strip off and custom fit it with a NEW X-acto blade on my Sigelei.

I hate scratches too especially if you decide to resell one day. Screen protectors are cheap insurance :)

>>>> Did you peel off the original screen protector when you received it? I did not realize mine had one already on it until I spilled a little juice and a haze developed that did not go away after wiping off just now. I had to use an xacto as my fingernail was unable to lift it off of the display - maybe you will get lucky and there is a virgin screen under there?
