I'm thinking about buying a ZMAX V3 Telescopic flat top this weekend. I plan to use it with an 18650 while at home and single 18350 while out and about. Can anyone tell me if the batteries need be flat or button top? I thought I remember reading somewhere that a single 18350 flat top was a bit too small to make a good, stable connection. But, frankly, I've done so much reading it may have been a comment made about an entirely different APV.

Update:

I found the link about battery type/size issues: http://www.stevevape.com/sigelei-telescoping-zmax-v3-expand-your-horizon/. He says a single flat top 18350 is too short. So, you need to get the button tops or use a magnet.

I have the "Sigelei ZMax V3 Telescopic Flat Top"

AW IMR 18350/490/650 batteries "button top" type, work fine with no problems.

I don't have any 18350 Flat Top batteries ...
A 18350 battery "Flat Top", might have problems, because, there are alittle short, streching the spring might fix this.

JuniorNA ... ( Page 9 Post #87 ), pointed out . A 18490 battery Flat Top "Efest Brand". Will fit in the "Sigelei ZMax V3 Telescopic Flat Top" ... in it's 18350 mode "It's mini mode"

I'm using the Efest 18490 battery flat top, in the ZMax V3's 18350 mode.

I use either type with no problems. Since it's telescoping you can adjust it until it makes contact.

Ordered my ZMax. Can't wait to get it. I ended up going with AW branded batteries which it seems only come in the button top variety. So, in the end there wasn't really a decision to be made anyway.

While looking for the batteries I ended up at ProVapes website. I came SOOOO close to pulling the trigger on a Provari mini. But, the lack of VW and the price tag ultimately steered me back to the ZMax.

Thanks to this thread, I am now a proud owner of the Sigelei Zmax V3 telescopic and loving every part of it. Just a no hassle vape that allows me to tailor my experience as I want it. Great device for anyone whose interested. Got mine from Electronicnicstix for the $75 deal. Fast shipping and good service.

Also, keep your eyes on this site. They post great deals everyday. Its how I found the V5 for $49.

Wow! Thanks for the link! I just checked the site, and it looks like a great source.
I've always checked Vapor Joe's - but these days, it seems nearly everything posted are for rebuildables and mech mods.

Sigelei Telescoping ZMax V3 ... From ElectronicStix $74.95
- As advertised at ElectronicStix for $74.95 ... is exactly what your getting ... GREAT Deal !

Recieved my "Sigelei Telescoping ZMax V3", just this morning.

Been playing around with it for the last few hours.
Out of the box, with the batteries & the t2 it comes with ... working fine with no problems.

Works fine with AW IMR 18350, 18490, and 18650 batteries.

The built quality is EXCELLENT... Stainless Steel, Brush Finish, OLED Screen.

Sigelei Telescoping ZMax V3, using a 18350 battery = SEXY!

No complaints here.

Flush fit with tank and device...the unicorn of my vaping career...
Have you had any luck achieving this?
The only thing I've seen, is something called a Hippo Cap?
It actually installs on the device with threads.
Alas, it is sold out everywhere.
Second option would be the Provari Pro Ring...
It's a beauty ring that simply sits between tank and device...
No threads...

this mod is probably as close as you're going to get WITHOUT a beauty ring...
