Congrats ! ...

When it finally arrives ...
- Let us know your 1st impressions ...

Great Mod

Will do. I will be comparing it side by side with my provari mini 2.5, which has the Twins telescoping tube.

At 1/3 of the price, this will be an excellent companion when I go hiking and shooting.

Taking my first vape from the zmax v3 tonight and loving it. I really hit the ground running because of this thread. Using it in 18350 mode with an 18350 for backup and an 18650 on my nitecore charger for vaping tomorrow. Got the watts set at 10 with some viking vapor graham cracker in an AGR tank with a 2ohm Boge carto. DELICIOUS!

OK so, why even have the option of 'mean'

Its a bad idea right, never use it... So why is it even there? When would you use that?

Also someone mentioned somewhere that they use a slightly larger battery than the 18350 and just compress the spring a bit more and they can still put it in full shorty mode.

I would like to do this but not sure which battery to use. I have 18650s and an 18350 and I much prefer using it in shorty mode, if I could make it last longer in this mode it would be excellent, although the 18350 battery charges in a flash anyway so thats no biggie

What I love and mentioned before is an 18490 flat top fits in mini 350 mode.
Which is awesome - for some reason I go through 2 350s a day but only 1 490/500 a day . Even though the difference is only 300 mah (800 vs 1100)
I always hated 350s

answers my question thanks! I should read more carfully

OK I've been using mine for 2 days now and I've just noticed while puffing away that it is getting rather warm. This is something that also happens with my spinners if I chain them on high volts for a while, especially if I just have a dripping atomizer on there.

Should I be concerned? Currently vaping a carto tank at 1.6ohm and 7 watts, (about 3.35volts) in 18350 mode.

It heats up all around the top section where the screen is.

How hot is too hot?

Bad idea ? ... Yes & No

Some people like the "mean" setting, and I'm thinking, it's because they are using high resistance device rated at 3.0ohms or more.
High resistance = High voltage/wattage ... to work well

Low resistance devices rated at 1.5, 1.6, 1.7ohms - are going to have problems with the "mean" setting.
If someone is using a LR 1.5ohm cartomizer, there in the mean setting ... Voltage is set to 3.0v, the true voltage output, might be at 4.0v or even higher "Mean"
- something may end up burning
- Avoid "Mean" ... with LR

This is the norm
Long drags, chain vaping away, the coils are going to get hot, and the heat will spread, metal top cap, metal drip tip ... they can get pretty warm, if not hot.

"heats up around the top" ...
If your carto tank is gets warm - hot, some of that heat, will be transfered to the top of your mod, by way of 510 connector ...
- This is pretty much a norm.

Can't say "How hot is too hot" ... everyone's vaping style is a little different.
- long slow drags will heat things up
- chain vaping will heat things up

No issues fitting my T3's to it.

Here's some pics to give people an idea how it looks with a couple of different attachments. This is in 18350 mode

Lucky you! Mine only works with eVods... I've tried every single head I have, not a single one works

Picked one up from exhalevapors for just under $60 using the vapor joes discount(vaporjoes11percent). Old V1 Lavatube faithfully performed its duties but she is showing her age and buttons are starting to fail.

Been noticing around ECF lately with new APVs/mods that there is always something to be polished, switch modification, spring swap, pin adjustment, etc to make it that much "more" efficient. I saw a few posts about lubricating the threading(not 100% sure as to why) but that is about it. Any other things we should know?

My only complaint, so far, is that when I chain vape I can accidentally get into the menu. I didn't think I was chain vaping that fast, but somehow I am. Next thing I know, I'm increasing wattage or lowering it.

Anyone else experience this?

I listed the thread cleaning and lubrication in this thread yesterday along with a lot of other details. This post turned out to be something of a review.

Ahh I see what you guys mean - but that's the telescopic function .

You could get the sigelei zmax V2 if you want to stay in 18650 mode but I wouldn't mind having one .

Are you thinking of a clip on polished tube that you would just pop in the gap?

Or are you taking a threaded piece that would go over the bottom portion ?thats a lot of screwing and unscrewing lol

But if you're always going to stay in 650 mode it's not a bad idea .

Here is mine

Cov4 - (amazing) and I hate ry4 variants
RSST - kanthal 31 gauge 3/4 wrap 1.4 ohm
V3 scope
1100mah 490 in 350 mini mode
(I hate 350s with a passion )

Edit: the gap in the RSST and the v3 scope is not the normal look. I'm playing around with the positive post and it will be flush as hell after I'm done tweaking it

Sorry ecf I didn't know I had broken a forum rule. No parts would have been sold, or built to order under this thread. I was simply gauging interest before I assumed the overhead of running parts at my expense. Is this type of activity allowed? And if so please direct me to the correct forum threads to do so.

Thanks!

I figured that it was simply a friendly offer to assist and that there would only be a few of us.

In any event, this is where people seek interested members for various CoOp items.

Thanks for the attempt, SmokGoblin.
