Hey Angus, I just went to the link you posted to read because I was going to point out that it didn't let me just do regular text either, when I saw what you did today! Thank you very muchly!

:)

Thank yourself a little, too. Its your post that made me stop and take a look at that rule.

Good Morning,

Hope an admin sees this! Please ref this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/124518-vaping-counter-any-tally-tar-co-avoided.html
Jmanning made up a counter generator that also gives mg of tar and co avoided. The generator is here: http://mbtproj01.microbeef.com:7070/VSig/

We can't get it to work in a signature. It works fine as a pic imbeded in a post, but the signature thing won't work.

Can someone please help!!!! Thanks in advance!

I got it working for you. The problem was that you had to use the whole code, instead of just the link to the photobucket picture. These kinds of sigs are code driven, in order to be able to do the calculations.

Angus...thank you!!!! Can you explain a little more of what I was doing wrong? I want to change the font and may want to change the background later too. Others couldn't get it to work either. (I'm kind of computer illiterate....so go easy!).

Again, thank you!!!!

When I looked at your sig, all I saw was a link to a photobucket image, not to a coded counter. All I did was to paste the link you gave above into your sig:
(IMG)http :// mbtproj01. microbeef .com:7070/VSig/?sd=2010-09-06&apd=40&ac=5.00&cu=%24&pc=85.00&mc=35.00&mt=1.1&mco=0.9&img=http%3A%2F%2Fi643.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu151%2Fjdh5484%2F1-1.jpg&xt=20&yt=10&tc=-256&tf=Serif&fs=12&ts=0(/IMG)
Just remove the spaces, and change the ()'s to []'s.

Granted, this would normally go over the character limit for you, but I have mad admin skillz. I don't have time to count the characters right now. How large of a character limit would you need for a sig code this size?

Angus, thanks for your help on this. Maybe 400 characters would be a good compromise length?

I think 320 was the max. If I left off the $ saved and reduced the image name to "1-1" it got down to 277. That's the lowest I could get. Thanks for your help on this!!!!

I just tried to put this one in my sig (I put in the wrong values for tar & co before) but it said it was too long??? Only three lines allowed?

I'm having the same problem. Very frustrating! I really need that counter for encouragement since I'm sooo proud of myself. Doesn't matter what banner I chose, I get:

# You have included a total of 2 images and/or videos in your message. The maximum number that you may include is 1. Please correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the BB code tag, and HTML <img> tags. Videos are included with the BB code [video] tag. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.
# BB code size value is too big.

The banner is the only thing in my sig.[/QUOTE]

^^^Having this exact same problem. I've tried several different quit smoking counters, but I get this error message every time. Any ideas?

You had a link to an old counter that we had to block on the ECF due to malware being on their site. I deleted the link, so you should be able to add a sig now.
