That would make them wired in series and the resulting voltage would 3.7 x 2 = 7.4 volts. So it wont vape very well with out a regulator or a High resistance atomizer. You can hook the positives together and the negatives for a wired in parallel set up. That would be 3.7 volts and total mah rating of both batteries added together.

Thanks Java - so it would power an atty (eg: a dual-coil) - even though one terminal on each battery remained completely unconnected to anything?

Well no you have to hook them to something. I thought you meant positive on one battery to the negative of the other. Then you hook your unused positive to the switch and unused negative goes to the negative side of the atomizer connector. But that gives you 7.4 volts. Going to burn juice on regular atomizers. That is what is called hooking your batteries up in series. Hooking them up in parallel is when you hook the two positives together then run that to a switch. Then you also hook your two grounds together. That gives you the same 3.7 volts but doubles the mah and also double the max amps. So Parallel is what you want to go with. IF you google " batteries wired in parallel and series explained" you should get some hits on it explained in more detail.

lol. At 1st glance it is somewhat logical. The negative end of battery A is very negative, and the positive end of battery B is very positive, so you wonder if something would flow for a while. The positives and negatives are with respect to itself. So there has to be a circuit (loop) somewhere. e.g. the negative end of battery A is negative with respect to the positive end of battery A. It's a potential difference between the two. Like Java said, you have to connect them somehow.

Then again, it makes you wonder how a leyden jar works or some such that only has one pole. The earth is always a ground, and you can complete that circuit (hopefully without much current using you as a conductor).
