lol. At 1st glance it is somewhat logical. The negative end of battery A is very negative, and the positive end of battery B is very positive, so you wonder if something would flow for a while. The positives and negatives are with respect to itself. So there has to be a circuit (loop) somewhere. e.g. the negative end of battery A is negative with respect to the positive end of battery A. It's a potential difference between the two. Like Java said, you have to connect them somehow.
Then again, it makes you wonder how a leyden jar works or some such that only has one pole. The earth is always a ground, and you can complete that circuit (hopefully without much current using you as a conductor).
