What are you doing with your ashtrays now?

lol - silly huh? I was cleaning up around the house and in one corner I've started my collection of ashtrays. I was wondering what other people were doing with theirs?

I think I'm going to take the glass ones, put them in the dishwasher, then bleach them and then run my steam machine over it - to put candy in

i am currently not using ash trays i dont have ashes i ran out of them 3 months ago lol

Well I got rid of all the ashtrays in this house I took the final stance and said no smoking in the house for anyone me included (great incentive not to start back). I did however keep the 12 pound monstrosity (killed in the study with the ashtray) that hubby insisted he had to have and that I always hated I soaked it and ran thru dishwasher and its now a center piece with candles etc. I hated it as an ashtray but love it in its second life.

I only kept a few. I took great joy in getting rid of about 20 of them!

I kept a Waterford cut crystal cigar ashtray (pretty, and now it holds fish food for my Koi and Shubunkin), a cobalt glazed ashtray from Mexico advertising Camel cigs (a memento stolen during a great trip my husband and I took to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico) and an interesting huge Italian modern ashtray from the 1950's with thick string glass enamel design, both are sitting outside by the firepit for company who want to smoke while I vape!

I'm using one of my ashtrays for peanut hulls until they are thrown into the trash.

The others, I hid. I don't know why I don't throw them away. Maybe I should or give them away. Anything that reminds me of the "old days" of smoking analogs really needs to go.

I've had one ashtray with two butts in it in about 7 months...that was my very stubborn sister who is older than me, so won't listen to vape talk. She's a putz. She'll be back!

I use one small one to store my daily carts in...the others have been cleaned (and boy, did they need cleaning) and stored.

Yeah, all of mine is, sort of looks like liquid nicotine really...but I only have half a dozen flavours.

And for some reason (I've only just noticed this), the one 11mg strength flavour I have (double mint) is a bit darker than all the 24mg strength flavours I have...
