I know this is kinda long, but I think it's worth reading. At least I sure hope it is!

HEATS UP FASTER THAN A MATCH TO GAS!

LEAPS TALL ADDICTIONS IN A SINGLE BOUND! :w00t:

And might I just add... HOLY CRAP!!

Are you kidding me with this thing? Chad... brother.... you sir, are an artist. Everything I saw & read about this amazing piece of American craftsmanship is true & then some. Just like I wanted.... a rock solid American made vapor monster that lasts all day.

Jeez, where to start. Well, the size I guess. I love the way it feels in my hand. It 'fills' my palm perfectly. I am finding that I grab it one of 2 ways, either button up w/4 fingers on top, thumb on bottom... or button on bottom using my thumb to press it, 3 fingers on top, pinkie under, supporting it.

And both positions feel perfectly natural. Took all of about 5 minutes to feel like it had been part of my hand since I was born. :p I know moobyghost thought it was too big to carry around with you. I got a $7 'radio/phone holder' @ lowes. OK. I'm good to go anywhere with it now. Next question?

Aside - Moobyghost, I love your reviews man. But we differ big time here. I'm a guy, not a man. And to understand the difference, please read "Dave Barry's Guide to Guys". It is the funniest book I have ever read! You'll appreciate it I think.
End of Aside

I am currently vaping at 6v, as my 18650s have not yet arrived. So keep that in mind. That burnt taste ppl talk about w/HV mods? Doesn't exist. Tastes the same when the atty is low on juice as my reg 510 batt did. Kinda like inhaling a no flavor shot of steam. OK, so it's time to add a few drops. But burnt? Zero. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

Vapor... do I really need to repeat the plethora of reviews that show you the frickin' vapor plumage? OK, fine. It's the one thing I'm mad @ Chad for... I may actually have to go back to opening my windows in the truck on cold winter days. There is so much vapor & it's so thick that when I exhale, my vision thru the windshield is somewhat impaired! You made the thing too frickin' good Chad!! :pervy: ( And a big fat THANK YOU for doing so!)

No comment on batts yet, as I'm using disposables. I will say I started vaping with this set @ 11:am & they're still going strong. Course for $10/set, they best last for a good while!

The finish... c'mon man. I was driving on Rt95 South this afternoon, coming out of Maine, right into the sun. (My SB was in the left outer breast pocket of my jacket) You know those commercials where they use a shot of the sun glinting off whatever they're selling? My SB was doing that today as I drove. You shoulda seen the smile on my face! I was a living commercial for the SB! :thumb:

mmmmmmmmm Just dripped some cappuccino and wow is it goooood! Way better flavor than my reg. 510 batt. So much for flavor getting burnt off @ HV.

OK, my 1st impression numerical rating - On a scale of 1 - 10 the SB is a.... 20!! Off the charts this beautiful piece is.

On a slightly more serious note, and I already expressed this to Rob earlier today, I want to thank both Rob & Chad from the bottom of my already-clearing-out lungs. Here's why....

The 1st few weeks with my 510, I was still smoking analogs. Not many, but still. I had 2 hurtles to get past:

The 1st was trying to figure out the right nic level for me. The 18mg I was vaping just wasn't cutting it @ several times during the day. 1st thing in the AM, in the truck, and right b4 bed. I ordered some more 36mg, which is what I cut to get the 18mg. It came in Monday and I haven't smoked an analog since. So I've been vaping 36 mg (36 frickin' mg!!) all week. I was worried I would be stuck @ 36mg for the duration. Not a happy thought.

The 2nd issue I had, was I hated taking 6,7, or 8 sec drags in the truck. Can't explain why, just how it is. I fought the urge all week and just shotgunned 36mg when the urge came. My analog drags were 2-3secs. Maybe 4secs if I was really stressed.

Enter the SB. I can take a 2, 3 or 4sec drag with the SB and get LOADS of vapor and th. Issue solved.

36mg is no longer possible for me to vape. Within 2 or 3 drags I'm so light-headed I'm almost dizzy. So I dropped to 24mg. Same result. I dropped to 18mg. Better, but still dizzy after 4 or 5 drags.

I cut my 36mg down to 12mg and it's perfect right now! 36mg vaping to 12mg vaping with nothing more than the addition of the SB! Issue solved.

I'll NEVER smoke another analog again, and it's a DIRECT result of Chads design, and of Robs ability and willingness to market it.

Thank you Chad & Rob.

i vape the sb at 6v with cartos. i love it.

I vape at 6V with cartomizers too. Perfect.

Same here!

OK. Then lemme just ask ya!.....

I used a cart w/various cart mods on my 510 for about 4 days. Once I started dripping, I never went back. I get ALOT more flavor dripping then I do even with the BFD mod. Plus, even with my still terrible, but healing, taste buds, using a cart just tastes different.

The other issue I have, is I tend to vape pretty heavily. Even the BFD mod can't keep up wicking-wise. And yeah yeah... I know, put the damn thing down once in a while. NO!! I DON'T WANNA!!

So, if I do invest in a bag-o-cartos, how many of these issues will still exist, in all of your ever so humble opinions?

I vape at 6V with cartomizers too. Perfect. I also love my SB and my BB. Just received the BB on Monday. I had ordered it on Saturday. Altsmoke has insanely quick shipping!!! I cannot say enough good things about this company or the design of these mods.

I love, Love, LOVE my BB! For my first real device I couldn't have picked anything better. I tell everybody about it. Nice to see another South Carolinian with one! Now if only all of my flavored juices would arrive in the mail. I'm gonna have the UPS guy and the mail lady ...... off at me with all the deliveries that are going to arrive this week.

My next vaporizer purchase will be a Chuck. I like that they are customizable and people seem very happy with them too. :D

Hello, I been using my SB with 801 and 501 atomizers, however neither of them seem to work good with cartriges? I get a very horrible burn taste and little vapor. I get better results when I drip into my 801. On the other hand I only get like 6 to 7 good puffs with the 501 when I drip. Do u know why this is happening? My question is how are the cartomizers with the SB at 6V? is there any burt taste? . Thank you very much for your help.

The “cartos” I am talking about are the cartomizers (for the KR808D-1). The only negative aspect about the cartomizers is if you are not careful the polyfill material will burn a bit. You have to keep them very moist. I do find that at 6 volts that there is less of a change of burning them. This may appear counterintuitive because the atty at 6 volts runs hotter than at 3.7 volts; however, at 3.7 volts I (at least myself) take 2-3 consecutive 5-7 second drags to get the required amount of vapor and throat hit I require. Whereas, at 6 volts one 2-4 second drag is all I need. I am finding that a nonconsecutive shorter drag, even though the atty is hotter, results with less of a chance of burning the polyfill.

As for taste, all juices taste good in cartomizers.

That makes sense. Seems like when I hit it hard, the only way for the 'wicking' process to keep up is if I drip. Might be worth it for the flavor alone. Plus they apparently last longer than any mod with a 510 cart.

I ordered a SB on Saturday. Can not wait til it gets here.

Good choice Gary! You'll love, I'm sure!

I bought mine about 1 month ago and ordered the additional batteries to go 6volt, it goes thru a 510 atty every week, but i have have found what might help, the liquids i had been using were crappy and stale so i had to hit on the thing longer to get that "FEELING". i just got some new liquid from Geoff at tasty vapor and now only hit on it about half as much plus i got the 36mg juice it is awesome. the sb is the reason i have been analog free it is built rock solid, no problems with the unit at all if the small little e-cigs are not cutting it get this mod you can not go wrong. Rob was great about answering questions before the buy and shipping was lightning fast.
Thanks Rob:)
