Hi Guys and Girls, I just got my silver bullet yesterday. My problem is that anytime I use the 901 adapter,it completely kills the atomizer in about a second. I first tried with a couple of tried and and true atomizers and both died really fast. Kinda sucks cause they were keepers. So after that happened I tried one that I have been using on my screwdriver and adaptever for a few days. I decided to keep the cart off because the atomizer was wet enough. What I witnessed was that instead of a nice orange glow I got a really bright almost white glow from the atomizer then it died. Has anyone else had this same experience? I remember a while back reading about people using adapters on the screwdriver to use 501's and people had alot of problems. One thing I want to clarify though is that I have had no problem using the 501's (native connection). I also have a 801 adapter for my silver bullet and am now a bit scared to use it. I am not sure now if I should order any 801 atomizers from my supplier due to me being scared to use and adapter on this thing. Other than that it has been great so far with the 510's.

What batteries are you using?

Also you need to keep the 901 really wet at high voltage. Other wise they will fry really quick.

I am using the UltraFire 3.7v battery's that I ordered with the kit. That should not make a difference as I was using 3.7v battery's on the screwdriver and adaptever.

Well even on 3.7v you need to keep them kinda wet inside. Sounds like you let it glow to long.

I think you are not understanding me. In the post above I specified less than a second. and if thats the case how come it has never happened to me @ 3.7 volts with any other device I have? the only time it happened was when the adapter was in between the battery and the atomizer. I just don't buy your reasoning at all. If less than a second is too much then how do you get a drag off your e-cig? The recommended button push is roughly 5 seconds on the screwdriver, the adaptever and the mfg suggested time on a 501 manual battery. What are the chances of 2 classic black 901 atomizers and one brand new 901 atomizer and a 4075 atomizer doing this within maybe an hour. I never had this problem with any other battery mod.
I also explain how I use the 510 on there just fine, and I definitely fire those for more than a second for sure.

I use the 901 adapter on my SB with no problems @ 3.7v

I just tried to sit here with a dry 901 atty and I couldn't get it to turn pretty white :( No fair!

Yeah I think its the adapter. I get a nice orange out of all my 510's.
And yeah If you take new atomizer and fire it, it is nice and wet with primer.
On my other mods I can fire dry 901's just fine and it glows ORANGE not WHITE.

are they frying or not working...try the attyies that "died" wout adapter n see if that sthe trouble...hmmm. mine works great i have all their adapters. They are machined together as one piece so no wire issues.

Chack the adapter carefully for metal stands that could be making a connection from the pos to neg (inside and outside). could be a simple tiny metal scrap is throwing off the connection. Th inner piece is seperated by a thin rubber(?) washer so it doesnt make contact w the outer ring. Inner pos, outer neg
edit-if u dont notice the inner washer ring or it looks tampered with, the connection can go a fray and zap ur stuff....write rob n im sure hell send u a new one...he looks out for his buyers

They work for half a second then are toast never to work again.
Just kinda scared to lose anymore atomizers you know?

emaail him n use ur other stuff for now till he makes it rt.

the chance of the other adapters giving u trouble is slim to none.

I have the same problem but with my 801 adapter. It was so strange..I was vaping away for two days everything going great and then I took a drag and it felt like I has sucked something up into the tip and boom no vapor.

I thought maybe I need more juice, but just to be safe I tried the attys on the 801 batts and no vapor. So I added two drops of juice and no vapor. So I thought maybe I flooded them a little. Blew them out let them sit over night and no vapor on either the sb or the 801 batts.

I am at a loss as to what the problem is, but I find it hard to believe that two 801 attys went out on the same day within an hour of each other.

Any ideas?

Really =X Sold a few hundred of the adapters and I've had the middle missing in one and that's about it. Sorry for your frustration, send it back and I'll get another one to you. Do you still have the address? I'll also replace the atomizer if it burns mine out =P Oh, you emailed me... I'll send this to you as well that way :)

Rob or Chad can you pm me with the address to send the adapter back? One other question should the adapter work with a 201 atty as well? I am afraid to try it as I have lost two attys and don't want to lose another one.

I really appreciate you guys being so prompt and helping us out. Great job!
I think he may have went to bed, shoot him an email via his website.

The 801 adapter does not work with the 201 atty. Its an airflow issue. The staple mod will work in collaboration with the 801 adapter and 201 atty. Depending on thickness of the staple the airflow results will vary. You can also drill a few holes in the adapter, but I rather not put new holes into my shiny things.

I'm not sure if I understood you correctly.

OK so after a bit of prodding around with the adapter I found that it is of a 2 piece design. I took a tooth pick and pushed at the side of the adapter that houses the smaller end of the center post. Once I had the center post out I examined the post and saw 2 small white rubber washers. I noticed the washer on the side of the smallest part of the center post, the washer was slid down the post to the other end. I slid the washer to the top of the post. Once I assembled it the washer was visible. I Did the same thing with my 801 adapter.
I found it was also assembled in the same fashion as the 901 adapter. Being the daring and impatient person I am, I tested the 901 on it assembled after the rubber washer was slid up the post. Seems to have resolved the issue.
I wish I would have known that it can be disassembled. Not sure if the washers slid down during shipping or if it came assembled incorrectly, but I do know that it is working fine now. Maybe I will post pics of this in the morning.

I think that a slight revision would remedy this from ever showing its ugly head again. Still kinda peeved it took out 4 atomizers though.
