Hi,
I am on the fence about which mod to get, and I have been hunting for a post or thread that give an overall general comparative description of the Silver Bullet, Alpha, Omega, and BB. Could someone tell me what exactly are the features, differences, and pros/cons of each of these mods? It's hard to tell just by the pictures. Thanks.

Hi RG,
I happen to own all 4 devices that you are considering, so I think I'm able to give a pretty fair assessment of each. Also, I don't use tanks or cartomizers.......I'm strictly an atomizer/drip guy (both standard and LR510 and 901), so I can't comment on how well these mods do with tanks.
First off, all of these mods work extremely well, but there are differences. In terms of size, in descending order, the SB is the largest, followed by the Omega, the BB, and then the Alpha. Both the Omega and the Alpha are purely mechanical devices, while the SB and BB employ a switch to activate the atomizer. To me, this is not a big deal, since they all fire every time.
I find the side button placement on both the SB and BB to be more natural for me.......the Alpha and Omega require the bottom section to be pushed forward to activate. Which is preferable is really just a matter of choice.
In terms of maintenance, both the Alpha and Omega require a bit more cleaning........but not much. I haven't had to do anything yet, but I have so many mods, neither is in use every day.
Since both the SB and Omega use an 18650 battery, they provide more vape-time between charges. I usually get a full day out of each. On the other hand, the Omega and Alpha use a 14500 battery, so their vape-time between charges is not nearly as long (for me, at least). I also find the 18650 to hit better right from the start.
If I had to choose one of the four, it would be the Bullet.......simply because that's the one I find myself reaching for most often. But that, of course, is just my opinion. I hope I've been of some help. :D

I happen to own two of the devices, an SB and an Omega. I passed on the BB and Alpha simply because I like the 18650 battery size, although after checking them out in person I can say they're both built equally as good as their big brothers.

As joel mentioned above, the Omega does require a bit more maintenace than the SB. I've had juice get into the top section, and a drop in the wrong place can lead to contact problems which reduces the current getting to your connector, and thus the atomizer. A simple disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly will cure it. The first time I had to do it I took quite a while to get it back together and adjusted properly, after that it's been a 15 minute job each time.

I prefer the switch on the SB. It's silky smooth and fires every time. I'm not as fond of the Omega where you push the top section down in order for it to make contact with the battery. Simply a matter of preference though.

I get a day out of an 18650 and it'll go 2 days if necessary, although the voltage dropoff and the resulting lower vapor production after about 12 hours of use forces me to change batteries. I've got box mods that use 14500's and I'll usually get 4 to 6 hours out of a battery with them. That's one reason I went with the SB and Omega, I don't like running out of charge.

If I had to choose between the SB, Omega, BB, or Alpha, I'd choose the SB every time. It's a rock solid mod that'll last for years and perform just as well a year from now as when you got it. I've had mine for about 10 months and never had a lick of trouble with it, and it's in daily use. What more could you ask for?

I'm an Alpha owner.

I'll just cut through the crap. The top section is about twice as big around as a standard cartomizer. The space for your finger is a bit tight, in order to depress the cap and fire the mod, thus it's difficult to use anything larger than a standard width carto/atty. I also have callouses on my thumbs from using it, but it happens to be right where the standard lighter callous was.

I've owned both the SB and Omega for the larger battery. The Omega works well with a tank if you add a shorty extension. I would also push you toward the SB. The switch works smoothly and I didn't care for the slight wobble in the head/top of the Omega.

Both work extremely well though, and you won't go wrong with either.

I have the Silver Bullet (2), the OMeGa and the BB. Honestly, I haven't used the OMeGa since the first month I had it. I use the SB's all the time. Here is a picture of them with the tanks I use all the time. For size reference there is a wood outlet plate above and behind the tanks.
