The SB is a rock solid and proven unit, you really can not go wrong with it. If you are looking for something that uses the same 18650 battery but is a few dollars less take a look at the Maxi Roughstack at madvapes. Presently Madvapes is out of stock but I am sure they will restock soon. I own both units and have always been pleased with both.

I have been eyeballing the Maxi...a lot...and even before I started vaping I knew that someday I would own a SB. If you don't mind, can you tell me a little about your experience with the Maxi? It's just a little bit ugly and rough around the edges (just like me...perfect fit). Have you tried it at 7.4? I just can't fathom 7.4 but sure as he!! would be willing to give it a try. I have a 5 volt pt and think 6 volt would be the next natural progression. Are there any batt. combos to hit 5 volt? Thanks in advance.

For the price, there is pretty much nothing better than the Silver Bullet. GG's are sexy, but take tinkering. Other tube mods are immitations of the SB anyways.

Pick up a used SB and save even more. I recently got a BSB for my little brother with a battery for $75 shipped. It's pretty tough to beat that price.

On the other hand, spend a bit more and you can have an excellent feeder. I'm referring to the Reo Grand. I just got mine today, and it's ROCKSTAR.

The Maxi is a bit shorter and thinner than the SB. When you first get it, it is a little rough, hence Roughstack. I just take a little sandpaper and give it a once over than polish it up. Now it looks like a high grade aluminum MOD. It fits nice in the hand, the switch is basically like the switch you would see on a Chuck, just on the top as to the side. This helps stop pocket firing, which was an issue I had always had with the Chuck. Pound for Pound if you want a 18650 tube mod you can not go wrong with a SB, if you like to add to the collections as so many of us do, get the Roughstack as well. For 3.7V tube mods I do not think you would be disappointed in either.

The Rio Grand can take several different battery combinations. You can use two 3 v batteries for 6.v and there is a 3.7 v AW protected Li-ion that can be stacked, ICR 123. I just put two in one of my Grands. It is a tight fit but they fit. I think one should check with Rob, Redeyedancer, the Reo maker to make sure that the spring is not compressed too much, so that the safety function of spring collapsing, due to short, etc. is not hindered by tight fit. The Reos are all mechanical and extremely simple in construction; quite a work of art and function. Best customer service you will ever find too. Reo Rob has very high standards and has his hands on every single Reo that leaves his place. They are not "mass produced" in a factory. The Grand has a 6 ml feeder bottle.

With the availability of so many cartos/attys at so many ohm variations I've just stopped using any batteries higher than 5v. I have mostly Reos, a bunch, but do have other mods, including the Don, and the short and long Roughstack (not mechanical but easily repaired with button/logic board) and a GGTS on the way. It's hard to beat the functionality and form of the Reo in addition to it being almost indestructible. But, I'll have to add that I bling up my Roughstacks with a pretty Pawn DT and a Peace Sign dangle. The simplicity of the grey metal is quite attractive to me. The Roughstack is the mod I carry to the woods, to work, in case I drop it from a height, or lose it. It is relatively cheap to replace. I'm using IKV Mega cartos with the Roughstack.

well , this is that kind of post where everyone gives you an diferent opinion but you just want to hear " yes , buy the SB " :) , I think with 2 x 18650 3000mAh batt and a SB I must vape for a long time don´t you think ? I´m a recent addicted to LR atomizers on 3,7v and I´ll give a try on 6v too but because I live on Europe I prefer to buy my mods here so SB were I go , just NEED A MAP TANK :) now , thanks for all
